Chapter 2 - Into the arms of the Devil

"She's doing it again."Kim Jiwon muttered to Seolhye and the rest who turned their attention towards Aera.

She was leaning on the wall in the alley that served as the common entrance and exit to Seoli Highschool. She was wearing a navy striped skirt that stoped mid-thigh exposing the pale glow of her milky skin paired with a brown woven shirt that hung loose around her collarbone.

Her hair, freshly redyed orange, was pulled back and packed tight, exposing the newly drawn snake tattoo on her neck. A half burnt cigarette dangled from her lips, another tucked casually behind her ear. A scowl settled on her face scaring away students passing by.

"It's been three days now, I wonder who it is that's making her so restless." Seolhye said lighting her second cigarette. A small heap of burnt cigarette had gathered where the three sat.

"Burnt was it? That was what she said the other day right?" Jiwon asked turning to Jisoo who nodded in reply.

"Guys, do you think she's fallen again?" Seolhye said slowly exhaling, smoke emitting from her lips coated with red lipstick.

"Huh? Are you crazy? She clearly told us last time that she's given up on chasing boys. 'It should be the other way round.' that was exactly what she said." Jiwon countered.

Seolhye rolled her eyes. "That's exactly what she said with Chulsang and Yosub. Aera's attended three different highschools for three different guys, attending one more wouldn't make a difference."

"I thinks she's about to lose-"

"What are you guys doing? Is this a fucking parade or does your father own the streets?" Aera's shrill voice cut through their conversation. She was already blocking the student's path.

The students passing by halted in their steps. They knew better than to annoy the person speaking. The fact that she was hanging around the most revered gang in Seoli Highschool was enough reason.

However, some of the other students belonging to other gangs were pissed. She wasn't a student of their school. So what if she hung out with the Blue Fangs? Why should they listen to her?

"Black poison members are here, should we step up?" Seolhye asked turning to Jisoo sensing impending danger.

"No, Aera will handle them. It's either you burn them or you get burnt." Jisoo replied putting out a cigarette. She gazed towards Aera with hooded eyes. "It's been a while since anything fun happened around here." She added.

A male student walked forward towards her alongside other male and female students. "Our father doesn't own the streets but I doubt your father does," he said with a sneer. Aera's head tilted towards him. "He does, he owns this street."

That was true. The school's alley was rebuilt under Choi Global Holdings fundings.

The make student clenched his fists flustered by her response. "Hey, who the hell are you?" He pointed to Jisoo and the rest. "We can take shit from them, but not from you" he finished.

Aera put out the now burnt cigarette by stepping on it. "I think you should just scram…. I'm not in a really good mood."

"You should have thought about that before pissing us off." A female student retorted.

"Ahhh, I didn't want to do this yet…" Aera revealed a devilish smile. "Who's interested in going to hell?"

"You crazy bitch!" The male student plunged forward with his fist directed at her face. Aera dodged to the side— grabbing the hand she evaded, she threw him over her shoulder. The student landed on the floor with a loud thud. He held his left-hand groaning in pain.

The remaining students scrambled to the side, their eyes wide with fear.

Going up against members of the black poison, just who was this audacious lady?

"This is one reason I dislike chatty guys, they are all talk." Aera said sarcastically.

The male student performed a stunt bouncing back on his feet. He glared at Aera long and hard. Aera grinned and dashed forward with a prepared fist. This time, he grabbed her hand prepared to throw her just the way she did him but using her free hand, Aera jabbed his stomach with her elbow.

Engulfed by the pain, he momentarily let go of her hand and it seemed to the worst mistake he made. She grabbed his head and bashed it on her thigh. A sharp crack sound resounded through alley.

By the time he raised his head up, blood oozed profusely from his broken nose. Aera smirked and landed a punch on his upper jaw causing him to stuble backwards. She jumped and performed a round horse kick sending him flying.

"Pathetic bastard.." Aera hissed and turned to face the other students but as she did, a resounding slap landed on her cheek.

Pah!

"You ridiculous bitch!" The female student who spoke earlier yelled and moved to help the writhing student on the floor but Aera grabbed her hair and yanked it harshly towards her.

As soon as the student was standing infront of her, Aera gave her two deafening slaps. The female student's cheek burned at the impact. There was no need to guess, Aera's hand had been imprinted on her cheek.

"I doubt you've seen an angry bitch before," Aera spat and slapped her again. Her hand was still gripping the student's hair tugging at it forcefully.

"Let go!" The female student yelled both in pain and anger.

"Why should I?" Aera asked. The student received another slap.

The female student gritted her teeth as blood began forming in her mouth. She made to retaliate using her free hand but Aera let her go. The student stumbled backwards and dashed madly towards Aera but Aera caught her hand and threw her over her shoulder.

The female student landed on the floor and coughed up a mouthful of blood. She glared resentfully at Aera who walked towards her with measured deliberate steps. The other gang members began to back away. They weren't stupid to throw themselves into the arms of the devil in front of them.

"She's not gonna kill them is she?" Seolhye asked.

Jisoo replied unamused. "She might,"

"We should stop her then…" Jiwon stood up about to stop Aera but Jisoo held her hand. "Don't. They brought this upon themselves, they should bear the consequences."

Aera grabbed the student's hair again and pulled it bringing her slowly to her feet. "Did you think you could withstand the anger of a crazy bitch?" Her eyes turned cold and creepy.

"You guys never learn do you?"

Her other hand held the incoming punch from the male student. She looked at him a maniac smile creeping on her face. She pulled him towards her and bashed her head on his arm.

"Ahhhh… you bitch!" He let out a piercing scream.

Aera took a step towards him. "Are you a wuss now?" she asked. The male student gazed at her, the anger in his eyes replaced with fear. He just wanted to get as far away as possible from the devil in front of him.

He took frenzied steps backwards untill his back came in contact with the soild brick wall behind him. Cold sweat dripped from his back. Aera closed in the distance between them and grabbed him by the neck—lifting him till his legs left the ground.

"You'll kill him!" the female student yelled. "I don't mind." Aera's response sent chils down the spine of everyone present.

She didn't mind?!

The male student was beyond frightened. He struggled against her hold but she held him in a murderous grip. She was really going to send him off to hell.

"P...please…don't…k..kill..me" He pleaded.

Immediately those words left his lips, the murderous intent in Aera's eyes disappeared. Her lashes trembled softly not because of his words but hearing him stutter reminded her of the person she was waiting for.

Someone she desired to establish something special with.
