Standing on UA's H tower was a man with dull teal hair and multiple arms surrounding his body.
He stood there, the wind brushing past his body, the environment perfectly serene as he stared at the UA sports stadium from a distance, his teeth gritted.
From where he stood, he could hear the roar of the crowd as they celebrated the young worms, thousands of people praising them as though they were gods.
It was disgusting.
But that was how the world was, heroes were given all the credence and accolades while villains were mere tools to make them shine brighter.
But it was only a matter of time before he would break the status quo, overturn the world, and rid himself of them.
His red eyes were tinged with animosity as he looked on, watching… waiting...
Next to him, Kurogiri was staring at the stadium as well, his eyes narrowed.
"Do you really think this is a good idea? Those people were once our enemies."
A few weeks ago, in the dead of night, they had received a strange visitor.
Foes turned temporary allies, a white woman with an eye for perfection, a legion that had eaten up its head.
This group had come bearing gifts, an offer they could not possibly refuse.
An attack on the sports festival.
It was a daring move, one so bold that even Shigaraki had not considered it, and yet, they seemed confident that they could pull it off.
Their plan was simple: eliminate as many UA staff as they possibly could, and once they were done, the academy would crumble.
UA's destruction was something that benefited the League no matter which way they looked at it, and what they were asking for was minimal, just a few members of the League to bring their plan to fruition.
But it was also dangerous…
Not only would security be tight, they would also have to contend with All Might as well as other members of the UA staff.
Hence the bombs were introduced, crippling the symbol of peace.
The white lady's plan was meticulously done, refined to the point of absolute perfection.
Shigaraki was quiet for a few seconds, then he sat down at the edge.
"We bear little risk here. If UA falls, then taking down All Might will be easier…
"And if they fail…" Shigaraki smiled. "Then that will be one less foe to worry about…"
No matter how the battle went, the League would always be on the benefiting side. It was a win-win situation for them.
The only issue was their members who were at the stadium, but just as Kurogiri had delivered them there, he could as well bring them back.
Kurogiri calmly listened to everything before speaking. "What if 'he' comes?"
At the mention of the Midnight Vigilante, Shigaraki's gaze shifted, his rage evident in his eyes.
The Midnight Vigilante — the man who had ruined their plans to take out All Might in USJ…
Shigaraki wanted to take him out as soon as possible, to feel his skin rot underneath his palms, but he knew it was too early for that.
He took a deep breath, answering Kurogiri with silence.

Midnight strolled into the southern part of UA, her whip tightly held in her arm as she pushed the door to one of the inside rooms open.
Standing there, holding a large rectangular bar of metal on her shoulder, was a burly woman with fuzzy hair.
And just behind her was the bomb, creating a low buzz as it sat quietly at the side of the room.
"So you are part of them…" Midnight said, her voice layered in ice.
The villain smiled and slowly undid the wraps on the large metal piece she was holding.
"I'm just following orde—"
Before she could finish her sentence, Midnight lunged at her, and then she balled her fists, ready to deliver a punch when she suddenly froze.
Her body was engulfed in a strange pink energy that curled around her like a dark mist.
"What is this—?!"
Then just as fast as she had come, she was repelled back, crashing right through the wall behind her.
Bang!
Midnight stood up slowly, feeling her back ache from the crash. 'What sort of quirk is that?'
The villain smirked, adjusting the magnet on her shoulder. "No need to be so hasty."
Just like before, Midnight was engulfed in the strange energy once more, her body moving against its will as she was pulled to the villain.
She raised her hands up in defense, but the villain shifted her aim, ramming the large magnet into her stomach instead.
Midnight gasped as the air was knocked out of her lungs, blunt pain surging through her body.
"ACK!"
She fell and gagged, her hands and knees on the floor as she slowly raised her head to see the villain.
BAM!
The villain planted her foot in her back, her heel digging into her spine.
Midnight rolled to her back, her eyes widening as the foot came again, this time right at her face.
"I thought UA teachers would be a little tougher. How disappointing…"
She frowned as she stared down at Midnight. "Good night, teach!"
The foot came down faster than the last one, but Midnight skillfully rolled to the side, then using her arms, she quickly propelled herself from the floor and stood on her two feet.
She was breathing heavily, her body bruised from the earlier attack.
'She's stronger than I thought. Underestimating her will cost me…'
The problem was that quirk — whenever it was used, Midnight would be helplessly pulled or propelled away like one half of a magnet.
'I need to save my quirk until I am completely sure I won't miss…'
Her only advantage was that the villain probably had no idea what her quirk was. If she caught wind of it, then she would know to avoid it.
If that was to happen, Midnight would lose her only ace. 'I have to try to use her quirk against her.'
Midnight sucked in a sharp breath as she sprinted forward, meeting the villain just in front of the bomb.
She drove her fist forward, brushing just past the villain's head, then went for a low kick that was blocked by the magnet.
Before the villain could retract it, she placed her foot on it and jumped—
Crack!
Twisting her body mid-air, Midnight delivered a spinning heel kick, driving it right into her shoulder.
The villain stumbled back, nearly knocking the bomb off the table, her jaw clenched in pain as Midnight cut right through her defenses, her whip seconds away from marring her face.
But in that moment, Midnight froze once more, the same energy seizing her body and sending her back like she weighed nothing but air.
Crash!
Midnight gagged, her eyes half-closed as her body exploded against the wall.
Then she dropped to her feet, her legs shaky. 'Now I just need her to use her other ability…'
Just as Midnight had expected, the energy took hold of her, and then she was sent flying—right at the villain.
The villain was running at her as well, the large magnet charging forward like a speeding train.
But before it could crash into Midnight, she twisted her body, grabbing onto the magnet with both hands, and then she wrapped her thighs around the villain's neck, tightening her legs.
Before she could react, Midnight grabbed the clothing covering her thighs and ripped it to pieces, allowing the pink smoke to run free.
"What the hell is this?" The villain gagged, trying to hold her breath, then she reached for her pocket, about to bring something out of it, but Midnight's thighs were making it hard to see.
Midnight smirked, swinging her body back to use her weight and momentum to tilt the villain. "Now, now, don't be shy!"
The villain tilted down, her body inverting as Midnight planted her head in the concrete.
"Argh!"
Immediately her head met the cold floor, her concentration was broken, and she accidentally breathed in a large amount of the gas.
Her body fell limp merely seconds later.
Midnight stood up and held her pained abdomen as she walked up to the bomb, placing the neutralizer atop it.
"One down…"
But before she left, she noticed two objects that had flown out of the villain's pocket.
The first one was a small, round yellow device, a complex-looking piece of technology, while the other was the bomb's detonator.
Midnight picked up the device and stared at the strange patterns curiously. "What is this…"
