Chapter 83 - [83] Fallen Angel

Kyle had waited for just the right time. When he was sure that both sides had exhausted themselves, he slipped away from the food truck and back into the stadium.

He did not intervene at first, instead he stalked the stadium, listening in on conversations and gathering information.

That was how he knew that this new group were calling themselves the Fallen Legion, and that it was a joint mission by them and the League.

Holding Nejire in his arms, Kyle glanced at Mirio whose body was smoking like drably cooked steak, then sighed.

Although Mirio was a hero in training, both he and Nejire were his very important business partners.

It was only because of them he had gotten such a deal, which made him feel like he owed them, even if it was just a bit.

He slowly lifted his gaze to meet Pulse who was now armless, then smirked.

"You've really done it now…"

Kyle expected Pulse to charge right at him without thinking, but to his surprise he waited, his eyes narrowing as he watched Kyle, studying him.

Pulse raised his free hand, using his electricity to burn his wound closed, the smell of burning flesh floating into the air.

And then he moved, electricity seeping out of his feet as he lunged.

But Kyle moved before him, sidestepping the speedster, and just as he was passing Kyle, he bashed the severed arm right into the back of his head.

Bang!

Pulse lost his footing, taking down to a nasty roll until he slammed into the wall.

Nejire stared at Pulse wide-eyed before looking at Kyle. "W-who are you?"

Kyle was silent. He placed her feet on the ground and then shielded her with his body. "Take that one to the infirmary, I'll take care of things here."

A worried expression appeared on her face. "You can't beat him alone, he's not an average villain!"

In front of them, Pulse had already gotten up and was plotting his next move.

"Go."

Nejire stared at both fighters one more time before hurriedly lifting Mirio, slinging his arm over her shoulder and levitating towards Present Mic to take him as well.

But Pulse had no plans of letting them escape. Ignoring Kyle, he sprinted right at them, hoping to finish off what he started, only to slam into an invisible wall.

Kyle's wings fanned out, electricity coursing through them. "Leaving when we just started? Don't be rude."

"I… in… terferances must be e-eliminated."

Pulse appeared right next to Kyle, unleashing a flurry of lightning-coated blows.

'He's fast!'

The first two blows were blocked by fierce wings, but the other two landed cleanly, shoving him back, the current searing his skin.

Pulse was moving too fast to keep up with, delivering blows and kicks only to dash away before Kyle could reach him.

Even with only one arm, his blows were a menace to dodge, and it was as though he was moving even faster with each passing second.

Although Kyle was in no way slow, Pulse was something else when it came to speed.

But during that time, Kyle was studying him, taking note of his attack patterns and planning his counterattacks.

Up till this very moment—

Pulse raced towards him in zigzag patterns. He ran to a wall, using it to boost himself, jumping to deliver a flying punch.

But this time, an invisible force slammed into him midair, and before he could land, Kyle sprinted right next to him.

His fingers hardened like they were made of adamantine, his skin glowing with a tint of red as he delivered a massive blow right into his gut.

His body folded, the punch dug deep just before he was launched back.

Now that Kyle had managed to land a blow, he did not give Pulse any breathing room.

He charged right at him, kicking him like a ball the moment he touched the floor, then he grabbed his leg, slamming him on his back, before lifting his foot to stomp his head to bits.

But before the leg came down, Pulse twisted his body, using a complex manoeuvre to get to his feet.

And then he jumped, two heavy kicks exploding against Kyle's guard.

Like a phantom, he appeared right behind Kyle, two right hooks barely missing his head...

And then to Kyle's surprise, he grabbed his face with his left hand.

The very arm that he had severed.

'He can heal?'

Pulse pulled Kyle towards him and rammed his shoulder right into his gut, launching him to the other side, but almost immediately, Kyle's wings spread out, stopping the momentum.

And out of them came several sharpened feathers, racing towards Pulse like hypersonic bullets.

Whoosh!

More electricity surged out of Pulse's body, his skin beginning to glow a pale gold.

And then he moved from side to side, his body blurring before he charged right at Kyle.

Bang—Bang—BOOM!

He dodged the first flurry of feathers, curling in the air and even using one as a stepping stone to lunge at Kyle.

But just as he arrived, Kyle's wings folded and then spread out, releasing a gust of wind and red electricity that knocked the air out of him.

And then Kyle dove like a hawk, twisting his body to allow his wings to lash out like a blade.

Swish!

Pulse's arm was once again severed off, the lump of flesh already bubbling to start the regeneration process.

But Kyle was not yet done.

He grabbed Pulse's leg just before he landed, and pulled him towards himself.

"Three quirks huh? You're a bigger problem than I imagined."

First, he used Kaminari's quirk to coat his fist with deadly currents, then he used Aura Punch to add an additional layer of destructive force.

His arms hardened next, his fingers becoming strong enough to tear through stone, and then his muscles contracted, becoming so large that his biceps dwarfed his head.

Then he drew his arm back.

Just as Pulse was flying towards him, eyes wide, arms raised up in defence—

Kyle unleashed a blow capable of ripping boulders apart.

BOOOM!

On contact, Pulse's good arm folded like a plank, his bones cracking into hundreds of pieces, just before the punch exploded against his chest—

Driving him down to the floor.

Bang!

The wind picked up from the sheer force of the attack, red currents mixed with yellow electricity sparked in the air.

And then a shockwave cut right past them, sending dust billowing in all directions.
