A sharp pain shot through my ribs as Edric's fist connected. Behind me, a dangerous growl rumbled through the arena. Theodore. The sound carried a clear warning that made Edric's eyes widen momentarily.
I shot Theodore a warning glance, my jaw tight with determination. This was my fight. I wanted to win or lose on my own terms. He must have caught my meaning because he stepped back, his muscular arms crossing over his chest, though his expression remained thunderous.
Edric danced on his feet in front of me, that cocky smirk spreading across his face like he'd already won. He looked at me like I was just another weak omega who didn't belong in the ring. What he didn't understand was that I'd taken beatings from wolves twice his size. His punch stung, but I'd endured far worse.
