Garrie was now feeling invincible, like it was now kind of impossible for other to look at his attributes, he would be feeling very happy if not for the edgy True name, but at the same time he knew that if he could fill in a name like that others could too, it was almost like a loophole in the system.
Then the Guide cleared his throat.. if he even had one, anyway he grabbed the attention of every one.
"We should now be done with the introduction, i suppose you all have chosen your true names, i hope it's not something embarrassing"
Garrie felt like it was a personal attack
"Now that you are all familiar with your abilities and the system... let's begin your first quest!"
with a menacing expression on his face.. half of it at least.
"your first quest is, DO OR DIE"
'it sound a bit impossible for a first quest, no?'
Garrie thought with a uncomfortable expression on his face, then the system window appeared
[Quest: DO OR DIE]
[Description: Find and destroy a monster egg, while saving yourself from an dormant ranked beast, be careful if it hatches you are as good as dead in your current state. Guide is not allowed to help you in any way, even if it's giving a small hint]
[Time remaining: 30:00]
then the guide says
"as you have now read the description of the quest you just have destroy an egg before it hatches, meaning before the 30 minute timer runs out, you quest will start in 5 minutes, so let me explain the ranking system for monsters"
Garrie paid close attention to what the guide was about to say
"monsters are mainly differentiated form the weakest to strongest as follows:
beast < monster < demon< devil < tyrant < terror < mythical < beyond
and beast being the weakest and beyond being the strongest, but they too have ranks in themselves as follows :
weak < dormant< awakened < fallen < corrupted < great < cursed < unholy
for humans it is different but we will talk about it some day later.."
hearing this garrie remembered of a popular web novel and laughed internally (author is getting caught lacking)
then the guide continued
"you know that you have to save your self from a dormant beast while trying to destroy the egg, don't underestimate it because all of you are weaker than the beast and are lacking in experience, even i don't know what will be the rank of the creature that will come out of the egg."
Garrie took the advice seriously
" oh look at the time... your quest starts in 1 minute, prepare yourself and a strategy if you can... "
garrie already had a plan in mind but he couldn't present it to others, because he was kind of an introvert (don't point out in the comments that he is 6'2 how can he be not filled with confidence. he is 16 and a loner (he has only three friends) who most of the time is alone because of his parents work and their house being in the middle of nowhere , not to mention that he is not exactly a handsome guy , anyway back to the story)
Then his best friend Harmeet stood up and said in a loud voice (he is not very tall but the man is handsome and confident) ,
"I have a plan, we will split up into groups i and Garrie will go to the ground floor , Gurnam and Karan go together to the 1st floor and Arman and Tarn stay here, after any of us searched the whole floor the they will go to the roof to search"
Garrie's school had three floors each it looked like two separate but similar hollow square buildings were connected together by a thinner building. The school was pretty big , if we go into more detail it had a big space in front of it and a very big ground on it's right side, the whole school (consisting of the building, the space in front of it and the ground) was fortified with thick 9 ft tall walls. it was gonna take a long time to search all of it.
The quest started and they separated according to their plan, while walking, Garrie wanted to ask Harmeet about his ability but he knew that they couldn't make any sound to hide from the beast they didn't know much about.
Then they reached the ground floor, but as soon as Harmeet stepped inside a ghost like girl with white, bloodied clothes attacked him with a hammer. And Garrie was more than shocked to see what happened afterward.
Harmeet's arm instantly got covered in a metallic and futuristic armor that was white in color that looked like it was made from the scales of a dragon and had a black smooth and round crystal in the center of the back of the hand.
and without even looking in the direction of the ghost like lady, Harmeet blocked it's attack and punched it, the ghost like lady was sent flying.
'This man is an aurafarmer'
Garrie thought with a comedic uncomfortable look on his face. he asked Harmeet what happened and was met with silence.
'uh.... he fainted?'
and with that my friends, Harmeet had lost all his aura. mans was unconscious, sleeping like a baby. but the one who was very conscious and was already standing up... was the ghost lady. with no other option in mind, Garrie picked Harmeet up and started running outside, the stairs opened up outside the building and to go into the ground floor building, they had to go through the main door that was right next to the stairs and Garrie was now running from the main door to the big ground.
but the ghost lady caught up, she was so fast that she ran from the first door and slammed straight into a support beam (like a pillar) Garrie noticed that she was not very good at turning, so he started running in circles in the front space of the school, but he knew that he cant run for more than a minute, at least with this failure of an aurafarmer weighting him down, so he decided to wait for an opportunity and run to the stairs.
And the opportunity came but for some reason arman and tarn were running down the stairs, garrie couldn't stop so turned to the big ground and ran as fast as he cold with the ghost lady's attention not turning away from him because of his curse, he threw harmeet down and fastened the speed
'the damn curse!'
the ghost lady was still chasing him ignoring harmeet. As he entered the big ground, his eyes then fell on a giant egg in middle of the ground. it looked like it was frozen , even though they were in the middle of the snow forest, it wasn't cold enough to freeze something in a matter of minutes,
the a cold voice rang in his ears
[Time Remaining: 00:05]
as he approached closer to the egg the time was ticking

in the last second he reached the egg and kicked it with all his force, he had a determined expression on his face, but in his mind he was relieved to reach the egg in time.
...However his kick did nothing to the egg, and as the voice said
[Time over]
[Quest: FAILED]
And the egg hatched....
Garrie had a grim expression on his face, as a the giant egg almost as tall as garrie cracked... and a breeze of cold freezing wind came from inside of it...
In that moment, Garrie could only close his eyes and wait for.... Death.
