Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Internet drama(2)

[thread: 3/12]

@PickledGingerChaos: "Wow… they really made her invisible."

@HotPotDramaQueen: "This makes the glow up ten times more satisfying."

@AngryOctopus89: "From shadowed side character to main character. THIS is cinema."

Finally, the last post brought the receipts full circle.

@AuthorIsGod (OP):

"Fast forward to today. The same eldest miss who used to be overshadowed is now standing side by side with Qian Jinxing. Healthier, styled, confident, radiant. She's not hiding anymore."

[ End]

That last comparison image was reposted thousands of times in minutes.

@GlitteryKoi: "The kind of glow up you don't get from makeup alone. This is aura."

@PufferfishRage: "Imagine being the sister who bragged about marrying Qian Jinxing… only to lose to the one you spent years suppressing [Clown]."

@CroissantWithAttitude: "No wonder she smiled in that ring picture. That was YEARS of face slaps compressed into one shot."

The thread went viral within an hour. Yunying's name shot up the hot search list, right beside Qian Jinxing marriage. But it wasn't just reposts, it was a warzone in the comments.

Side 1: Xiao Lian Stans (delusional squad )

@LianSupremacy101: "Don't be fooled. Everyone knows it was supposed to be Xu Xiao Lian. This Yunying woman clearly snatched him."

@GlassSlipperAddict: "Exactly. Lian-jie was always the one at the Qian family events. Suddenly the invisible sister pops out of nowhere? Please."

@CabbagePrincess: "Homewreckers always look smug at first. Wait till karma comes."

Side 2: Yunying's New Defenders (chaos squad )

@RiceBallMenace: "Snatched? Girl, you can't snatch what was never yours [laugh emoji]."

@FishcakeAnarchy: "LMAOO the receipts are clear. Jinxing put the ring on Yunying's finger himself. Y'all can cope harder."

@DumpsterLotus: "The audacity to call someone a husband snatcher when YOUR fav was the one dragging rumors without a ring [skull emoji]."

Side 3: Xiao Lian Haters (drag squad)

@ExpiredMilkCarton: "Let's be real, Xiao Lian did this to herself. After all that bragging, and she got face-slapped in HD."

@UglyMugwort: "Imagine thinking you're the female lead, then the REAL lead walks in. Couldn't be me [smile emoji]."

@SoySauceOverlord: "Her face when she saw the Weibo posts must've cracked harder than her makeup."

And it didn't stop at one comment per person. Replies spiraled into full chains, tagging, mocking, and screenshotting.

@LianSupremacy101: "She is the rightful bride! Yunying is nothing but a shadow!"

@RiceBallMenace (reply): "Then explain why your queen is ringless [thinking emoji]."

@ExpiredMilkCarton (reply): "Because her sister beat her to it. Quicker, prettier, smarter. That's life."

@LianSupremacy101 (reply): "Fake news. Watch, Jinxing will clarify soon."

@DumpsterLotus (reply): "Clarify?? Sis he literally posted it HIMSELF [skull emoji]."

Soon "#EldestMissGlowUp" and "#XiaoLianFaceSlap" became trending tags.

Fan edits popped up too, before and after comparisons of Yunying with captions like "Don't underestimate the quiet ones" and "Shadowed side character → Main Character".

Meanwhile, Xiao Lian's stans were desperately tagging her official account, begging her to clarify, defend, or drag Yunying. But every minute she stayed silent, the netizen chaos only grew louder.

Xu Xiao Lian was sitting in a café with her little entourage of "friends" the type who only hung around because of her constant bragging about marrying into the Qian family. They were sipping overpriced lattes when suddenly, one by one, their phones buzzed.

A collective ping… ping… ping…

Her friend, Chen Yaya, gasped so loud the whole table turned.

"Xiao Lian..check Weibo… NOW."

Xiao Lian's smile froze. Her own notifications were exploding, thousands of tags, messages, mentions. She tapped open her feed, and there it was.

Qian Jinxing's verified account.

A photo of Him and Xu Yunying.

Married.

Rings shining under the light.

Her hand shook. "...Impossible." she muttered, her face draining of color.

Her friends exchanged uneasy looks. Just yesterday, she'd been boasting about her "upcoming wedding." Now, the internet had slapped her in the face with irrefutable proof.

Still, Xu Xiao Lian was the greatest pretender. A seasoned white lotus.

So she did what she always did, mask the venom with sugar. She opened her Weibo, typed in her carefully practiced, fragile tone, and hit post:

@XuXiaoLianOfficial:

"Some things in life are beyond our control. But I only wish my sister happiness… even if it comes at the cost of my own."

Within seconds, her comment section filled with sympathy from her loyal stans:

@BunnyTears: "Our poor Lian-jie, you've suffered so much."

@DoveFeathers: "She's so gracious even after being wronged… my heart hurts."

@FairyGlass: "Meanwhile that Yunying just swoops in like a vulture. Disgusting."

But before her little pity party could grow, Yunying's freshly formed army stormed the gates.

@RiceBallMenace: "Ohhh don't start the white lotus act now. You were running your mouth yesterday, remember?"

@DumpsterLotus: " 'Beyond our control'..girl, you were bragging he was yours, stop embarrassing yourself.."

@ExpiredMilkCarton: "Cost of your own?? Sis, the man was never yours to begin with. Pack it up."

@SoySauceOverlord: "The level of self-delusion here is Oscar-worthy. Someone give her an award ."

Replies piled up like wildfire.

@BunnyTears: "Stop bullying Lian-jie, she's the victim here!"

@UglyMugwort (reply): "Victim?? LMAOOO when did delusion become victimhood??"

@RiceBallMenace (reply): "Imagine thinking you're the main character when the plot just cut you out.."

The war raged under Xiao Lian's post, drowning out her loyalists with sheer numbers. Every new insult toward Yunying was instantly countered by ten sarcastic replies.

Hashtags shifted again:

#YunyingArmy and #WhiteLotusFails climbed up trending.

Her "poor me" act had backfired spectacularly.

The restaurant buzzed with soft chatter, the aroma of freshly steamed buns and tea swirling in the air. A tower of bamboo baskets sat between them, the sheen of pork dumplings and egg tarts catching the light.

Yunying leaned over the table, chopsticks in hand, while her other hand scrolled through Weibo. She giggled, nearly choking on a siu mai.

"Look at this one." she said, nudging her phone toward Jinxing. "CrazyPorkBun just wrote 'Xiao Lian bragged for a year, only to get slapped in 4K HD by her own sister. Tragic.' "

Jinxing didn't even look at the screen. He sipped his tea slowly, his gaze steady on her instead. "You really enjoy this kind of chaos, don't you?"

Yunying grinned, unbothered. "Why not? They've mocked me for years. Let them choke a little, it's free entertainment." She popped another dumpling into her mouth, humming with satisfaction.
