The office floor was almost empty most of the lights had been switched off hours ago, leaving only a few scattered pools of light across the workspace.

But my desk was still buried under work.... Sketches...….fabric swatches..... production sheets.... Design drafts...…

I leaned back in my chair, staring at the latest email glowing on my laptop screen...…Rejected...…Again.

Three collections rejected this week alone..... Designs that had already been approved months ago..... designs my team had already started preparing for production. Design everyone in the department had praised.

And now suddenly they were "not up to standard."

My team had started noticing too.

At first they thought it was strange, then the whispers started.

"I thought Celia loved Aria's work."

"Why is she suddenly tearing her department apart?"

"Did something happen between them?"

No one said it to my face but the tension was obvious

My phone buzzed against the desk...… an internal message notification.
