"And why are you telling me this and not him?" I raise a brow, watching her face carefully. It morphs for a split second into something that resembles genuine fear, or perhaps shock that I am not crumbling, but she conceals it in a flash, her expression hardening back into a mask of spite.
[She could have come up with a better lie, honestly. Angry ex-girlfriends are usually more creative than this,] Lotus groans in my head, her tone dripping with digital disdain.
"You obviously need to get the memo that you are nothing but a side piece to him," Robbin spits out, trying to regain her footing.
"Then Enzo should be the one to decide that, not you," I counter, crossing my arms. "You should not be making that choice for him. I am his supposed side piece, not yours. I am his wife and you are not. Why does that simple fact bother you so much?"
