Seeing Baker fall to the ground, vomiting blood from a distance, Theon knew he couldn't kill him that way.
"Come, take Ser Baker Thorin for treatment. I may have been a bit too harsh."
Once Baker was taken away, everyone regained their composure. It seemed that this full-body armor served far more than just defense.
"Let's continue." Theon stored his armor and approached the sand table.
"Baker is right, we not only need craftsmen, but we also need food and golden dragons. But as you all know, the situation in the North is grim, and with the war, there won't be much food."
"So, our focus should be on the Westerlands and the Riverlands."
Theon placed the Lannister and Stark pieces on the chessboard at Harrenhal: "They will inevitably get involved here. The Starks want to lead the war in the Westerlands, while the Lannisters will definitely want control of the war in the Riverlands."
"As for the Tully family in the Riverlands, honestly, they can't even command their own vassals, so they are the perfect target for raiding."
Finally, Theon told everyone: "In general, we have only three objectives: craftsmen in the north, golden dragons in the west, and food in the riverlands."
After hearing this, everyone exchanged surprised glances. They were used to raiding wherever they pleased, but they had never had such a clear strategic goal. They were momentarily lost.
Then, they turned their attention back to the new king, Theon.
Seeing the confused expressions on their faces, Theon said, "I'll assign more detailed tasks tomorrow, don't worry."
"Just one more thing, everyone. We'll never be strong if we rely solely on pillaging. The best we can do is defend this small area and govern the country."
"Ladies and gentlemen, there are more ways to steal than just through violence. There are many other ways to make people surrender without a fight."
Theon's words caused a stir in the crowd. How could anyone allow themselves to be stolen from willingly?
How could someone be so foolish?
"What we need to do is use this war to gather enough supplies. I'll inform you of the next step when the time comes. For now, all you need to do is gather your family's elite warriors in Pyke City!"
When the meeting ended, it was already getting dark, and Yara was the only one left.
"It seems you've learned a lot out there," Yara said.
Seeing Theon plan his actions in such an orderly manner, she realized that he was better suited to be the King of the Iron Islands than she was.
Whether it was in terms of lineage qualifications or personal skill, she could lead the ironborn more comfortably, but Theon had the potential to take them to a higher level.
…
Three days later.
By then, Pyke City had gathered 4,000 people, all of them elite warriors of the Iron Islands.
To be honest, Theon hadn't expected there to be so many. The population of the Iron Islands was probably less than 100,000.
Theon integrated the five hundred Ironborn Guards into the four thousand men and began training them in basic discipline.
Otherwise, it could lead to problems in subsequent actions.
Fort Pyke's hall.
Theon had just formulated a battle plan, and the nobles of the Iron Islands once again learned how cunning a villain could be.
This time, there were a total of 4,500 people in the Iron Islands, including the Ironborn Guard, of which Theon led a thousand men to "support" the Lannisters.
Five hundred Ironborn Guards attacked the northern border, mainly to capture craftsmen.
The remaining 3,000 soldiers were divided into two groups, under the banners of deserters from the Lannister and Stark families, raiding all the money and food they could find!
This was also the first time the Ironborn realized how dirty pillaging could be.
