Chapter 11 - 11 Succubus

Camilla, a half-succubus, was taken in by the Demon King when she was five years old.

After the parents who gave her a body and a name were caught up in a tribal war and died meaninglessly, the Demon King, passing by, happened upon her, one of the many vagrants wandering the streets.

Camilla's first meeting with the Demon King, as she remembered it, was quite memorable.

'I have a daughter about your size. Maybe that's why, but I couldn't just pretend I didn't see you.'

Thus, after being saved by the Demon King, Camilla gained a new life.

The Demon King seemed to have intended to take the girl as his adopted daughter in the first place, but Camilla rejected the offer first.

'You can't repay a debt that great in a lifetime.'

At that time, Camilla seemed to have vaguely thought that way in her young heart.

Instead of becoming the Demon King's adopted daughter, she chose the path of becoming a lady-in-waiting who could serve him more closely, and she grew rapidly under the harsh teachings of the senior maids and the head housekeeper.

Fortunately, her appearance was no different from that of a typical succubus, so as long as Camilla herself kept quiet about the fact that human blood was mixed in her body, there was no problem.

Thus, 10 years passed, 20 years passed, and 30 years passed.

Camilla had grown into a beauty with attractive white hair and skin like white jade, as if her emaciated appearance when she was first taken in by the Demon King was a lie.

The Demon King also gave her a secretly pleased smile upon seeing her grow up so splendidly.

Camilla was unbearably happy about that fact.

Because someone of her lowly bloodline could bring joy to the Demon King-nim whom she respected.

Then one day, a group of Heroes sent by humans to assassinate the Demon King infiltrated the Demon King's Castle.

When Camilla first heard the news, her heart sank.

She hadn't yet repaid the debt she owed the Demon King-nim, and now it seemed he was going to die before she could.

But fortunately, her worries turned out to be unfounded.

This was because she heard from the other maids that one of the Hero's comrades betrayed them at the Demon King-nim's suggestion, allowing him to escape the brink of death.

That evening, Camilla was summoned by the Demon King.

The Demon King asked her.

If she could perhaps monitor Kaldraash, the Archmage who was one of the Hero's comrades, from the closest proximity.

Camilla accepted the offer.

She thought this might just be the perfect opportunity for her to repay the debt she owed the Demon King-nim.

Moreover, it was a request that couldn't be made to just anyone, so it was also proof that the Demon King trusted her.

The Demon King-nim said she could refuse if it seemed like too much to ask, but Camilla insisted it was fine and gladly accepted the surveillance duty he entrusted her with.

That was how she met the magician Kaldraash, who betrayed humanity and the Hero.

Kaldraash. He was a strange person.

Although he introduced himself as a magician, his demeanor was closer to that of a seasoned soldier.

The leather armor worn under his green robe, the flight goggles around his neck, and his half-shaved blond hair.

With his peculiar appearance, he referred to himself as a petty man.

'It's just pretending to be polite on the outside to package myself,' he said.

But in Camilla's eyes, he was bold for a petty man, yet had petty aspects that prevented her from calling him a magnanimous one.

He was the person with the most peculiar disposition among those she had met in her 35 years of life.

They say geniuses are often madmen; that saying seemed to fit him perfectly.

Just one day after transferring his affiliation to the Demon King's army, Kaldraash fought Ozma, the Demon King's daughter.

He might have thought it was just a sparring match, but according to Camilla's observation, Ozma was fighting with genuine sincerity.

Seeing her so easily subdued by Kaldraash, Camilla felt a sense of exhilaration deep inside.

Camilla was jealous of Ozma.

The fact that Ozma was the daughter of the Demon King-nim whom she respected the most, yet felt uncomfortable with her own position, struck Camilla as particularly vexing.

Later, the Demon King-nim summoned Kaldraash and ordered him to be dispatched to the town below the castle.

The Demon King-nim she knew was a very cautious person.

Perhaps it was to test him.

And it was clear that judging whether Kaldraash was a trustworthy person would be entirely left to her judgment.

For this reason, after exchanging glances with the Demon King-nim before leaving his office, Camilla kept trailing closely behind Kaldraash.

Although nominally to help him, in reality, it was to monitor his every move.

However, the magic Kaldraash displayed in the wheat field while dispatched to help with the farming was far more astounding than Camilla had vaguely imagined.

Because of this, Camilla once again marveled at the Demon King-nim's foresight.

Believing that someone with such power would surrender unconditionally to the Demon King's army without any ulterior motive was certainly naive.

He must have had some kind of purpose.

So she decided never to let her guard down.

That night too, she was organizing documents to report to the Demon King-nim in her room until late evening.

Then, from the direction of Kaldraash's room, strange noises began to be heard.

Camilla, perhaps out of concern, slipped out of her room and secretly peeked through the crack of the tightly locked door.

And then she witnessed it.

A new world she had never experienced before.

...."

I opened my eyes early in the morning.

The chirping of birds coming from beyond the window naturally opened my eyes.

Hearing the quiet breathing right beside me, I turned my head and saw Violet lying under the same blanket.

Perhaps due to last night's passionate intercourse, colorful kiss marks remained on her neck.

The same was true for me.

Maybe because it had been so long, she got excited, her beastly instincts boiling over, and wildly scratched my shoulders and back.

I picked up the pants lying on the floor, put them on, and then shook Violet's shoulder to wake her, as she was still asleep.

'Mmm… Honey?'

She seemed not fully awake, rubbing her eyes and looking for her husband who wasn't there, and I chuckled and whispered in her ear.

'If you don't get up quickly, Village Chief-nim will catch us!'

As if startled awake, Violet suddenly sat bolt upright in bed.

As a result, her luscious breasts, hidden beneath the blanket, were fully exposed, but there was no time to worry about such things now.

Violet hastily gathered the clothes scattered on the floor and put them on, then tied back the hair she had passionately let loose last night.

Then, as she was about to leave the room carrying empty wine bottles and plates, she suddenly stopped, turned back to me, and kissed me on the cheek.

'Last night was ecstasy.'

She then winked slightly and left, which was truly the highest praise a man could receive.

When it was time for breakfast, we gathered around the dining table again.

The Village Chief-nim, whom we hadn't seen last night, was seated at the head of the long table, and beside him sat Violet, who had returned to her usual self.

The kiss marks I left on her neck were hidden by her long hair and couldn't be seen.

Breakfast proceeded in a quiet atmosphere.

It wasn't just that there was nothing particular to say; in my case, I was completely drained of energy from exerting myself all night.

Although I had no appetite, I was somehow forcing the breakfast down, when Violet, who was serving Village Chief-nim his meal, asked in a cheerful voice.

'Magician-nim, what time are you planning to start work today?'

Hearing that, I glanced at the grandfather clock on the wall.

It was 8 AM.

Assuming it would take about the same amount of time as yesterday, it seemed best to work when the sun wasn't too hot.

Having reached that conclusion, I looked at Camilla next to me to ask for her opinion.

...."

But for some reason, Camilla wasn't meeting my gaze.

I wondered if I had done something wrong and carefully retraced yesterday's memories, but still, nothing came to mind.

After all, we had been conversing normally right up until dinner.

As I pondered this alone, I recalled one fact.

The fact that Camilla's room was right next to mine.

I had asked Violet about the soundproofing because I was worried Village Chief-nim might overhear, so I hadn't considered her in the next room.

Actually, it's more accurate to say I didn't have the time to think about it.

With a certain conviction, I leaned slightly to the side.

Camilla, who was barely touching her soup, almost burying her face in the bowl, suddenly lifted her head in surprise as she felt my breath near her ear.

When our eyes met, I gestured with my palm, asking her to bring her ear closer, and after hesitating, she tentatively leaned her ear towards me.

I whispered to her in a small voice.

'You saw, didn't you?'

Camilla's pale face instantly flushed red like a ripe persimmon.
