'What was that?' Issei thought as the evil sludge receeded back into Sakuras shadow. The murmurings of evil, of sin, of repentance was silenced and the only sound to be heard was the wind blowing. Isseis and Asia's heart were racing after facing what was arguably a being far higher than their mere existence, a being of true sinful evil. Issei felt weak and submissive, and Asia as a holy maiden felt thuroughly disgusted and afraid, she breathed in relief after that evil mass subsided.
"That was a lot more powerful than I thought, did you use absorption?" asked Shinji as he looked at Sakura. "No, that was just a byproduct, but I bet you could replicate something similar using the Matou trait" Said Sakura as her body slowly regressed to normal. The pressure she emitted onto the world vanished from her body as she dust of her clothes and returned to being calm and collected.
"Is it to late to hurl?" Issei got out, and Shinji nodded up and down. "Just wanted to check" muttered Issei as he felt his stomach churn with two conflicting emotions, disgust and joy. 'I should get a mental evaluation, I fear I may have a problem.'
Shinji looked at the scene, and after seeing no trace of activity, he decided to dispell the barriers he placed around the area. "Well, I assume there is more than her right?" asked Shinji as he turned towards Issei and Asia.
"I have a feeling this incident isn't isolated, is it?" Shinji inquired as Issei and Asia nodded. "Yes sir.." Asia began timidly, "She is apart of a group of rogue fallen angels and stray exorcists who want my sacred gear, and they are hold up in the church just on that hill there" she pointed as she finished speaking. It looked dilapedated from here, and he could sense the magical energy in concentrate there.
"What's a sacred gear?" asked Sakura as she tilt her head to the side. It wasn't a term that was familiar to her world, and she wanted to know what she could. "A power granted by God, a blessing granted to those of human blood."
The voice that appeared out of nowhere, was very familiar to the two parties. By Isseis smile, it was someone he was very familiar with. "Rias!" Shouted Issei as the red demoness descended from the skies to the familiar park. Behind her was the retinue that consisted of the white haired Koneko, the fair haired Yuuto Kiba, and the Japanese beauty Akeno.
"My, my Issei, what situation have you found yourself in?" asked Akeno as she chuckled softly behind her hand, slender and fair. "It seems your in a bind again" Kiba smiled, and it was easy to tell that Issei was a little grumpy with the only boy in his group of beauties. "Yeah, but its resolved now" he roughly said as he crossed his arms and turned around. Kiba was holding back a laugh, and Shinji was smiling but he coughed to try and get the situation back on track.
"You said this wasn't an isolated incident, so how many others are there?" asked Shinji. Asia was the one who spoke up and relayed the current details to him. "So, a cabal of four fallen angels, now three, and some exorcists called you here to the church, which was apart of their plan to take your sacred gear. Did I get that right?" Shinji asked as Asia nodded.
"So as there's multiple people involved, that makes the situation more difficult" thought Rias as the memories of the house with the man crucified to the wall fresh in her mind. "Seeing as there here without deceleration, that violates boundary. I doubt the fallen angels officially aligned with the grigori would forget that, even if they were snarky about it."
"So this will turn out to be more serious" Akeno said and her expression was serious. "But we have to think about the potential reprecussions" said Koneko dryly as she nibbled on some cookies from a purple bag. "I know" sighed Rias as Issei was silent, and Shinji and Co observed and listened. It was a tense situation, and Issei seemed to have something to say.
He bowed deep, and Rias stared at him as he uttered his wish. "Please President, please Ria" he began with firming resolve, "Please help Asia!"
He stated the wish with such fervent resolve that Rias was temporarily stunned. She had mulled it over, weighing the reasons, and yet it seemed the display of helplessness that Issei had upon his face as he groveled before her firmed the decision within her heart, and seemed to make it flutter.
"So, it seems like a raid on the church is happening huh" voiced Shinji as the attention turned towards him. "It seems so, Shinji" said Rias. The power exuded by the mage was impressive, and it seemed to put the rumors of Lavinia Reni in pale comparison. "Shinji, will you help us?" asked Rias and Shinji smiled. "Of course," he said as they smiled, "But I will demand a favor later okay?"
He extended his hand, a gesture as old as time, and Rias shook it with firmness. "alright, can you meet us here at night?" she asked as he nodded. "Alright, be ready Shinji, you never know what might happen" she warned, though she felt it unnecessary.
"Alright then" said Shinji as he and Sakura head back to the restaraunt. As they got back, Sakura spoke up. "Why are we helping them?" asked Sakura quizzically. Shinji smiled at the question, and answering like a mage he said "A favor is a favor, plus I've grown a little fond."
It didn't make sense to Sakura, with her mage values, but she could understand in some sort of way. Perhaps, there was some humanity to magecraft.
"Anyhow, we better get ready" said Shinji as he and Sakura began to prepare for the fight with mystic codes and spells galore.

[Author here! I was wondering if I could ask you guys for advice. I want to rewrite a book I started to be more appealing and easier to write. The book being called 'Father of the Gods'. I was wondering if you guys had any tips and tricks to get it going? If so, please and thank you! Also, to talk a little about the story here, once we do the church raid, we will start the focus onto the grail war arc, which will end the first part of this story.
