Chapter 2 - Forbidden

AMAXI

THE UNDERGROUNDS OF LENTYRA

All I feel is pain

Caius Antrea or formally known as the overlord underling, muttered an expletive under his breath as he viewed the newly acquired lighters.

It had become increasingly difficult to acquire thousands of lighters in the last decade as lighters were prone to die quickly from the first day of their introduction.

Everyone knew the overlord was intolerant to the weak, in fact during the overlord millennial reign, he had been known to be the first person to induct every newly acquired lighters that survived the horrors of introduction to pain before they were imbued with a shard of Anastasia.

Caius had every reason to be afraid this season as not only were they unable to get the three thousand mark quota lighters needed to create Damons who would later become Shadowers but among them were mixed a few numbers of Normies and disgustingly an Althmatanian.

Althmas, He thought in disgust,

A curse of nature

Lentyra

The kingdom of Lentyra was divided into eight divisions.

Lentys , the royalty of Lentyra born to inherit the power of Altrea lantern pearl were few in numbers and were the kingdom most treasured objects, their birth rate was low, as Lentys parents were unable to produce a perfect host to inhabit the ancient warriors pearl that would transform them to a being that could control all forces of nature.

They were the shadows greatest enemy as one touch from a lantern both limited and limitless could render an immortal shadower blessed with the power of Anastasia, mortal, they could also destroy the core of Anastasia if a new queen capable of bearing Lent limitless power was to find the beast of Amaxi. They were known by the flowery silver lined patterns on their bodies, these patterns would begin to shine brightly if they were chosen by Altrea to be a lantern. Their ruling religion over the kingdom was to serve Altrea celestials.

Trollans, these people were the military soldiers tasked with protecting Lentys from all internal and external forces, especially from the shadows and Arcadians, they were tasked to preserve the royal bloodline by feeding the royal babies once in a full moon a portion of their life saving dragonian power. They were shape shifters that could transform both to a sky dragon or sea dragon and were known as the powerhouses of Lentyra. They were distinguished by their ruby colored eyes.

Marlies, traders or merchants that supplied the kingdom with goods and services in all forms. They provided the kingdom with a revenue of finances as they were known to illegally transport slaves from conquered kingdoms to every Piratians and Arcadians in need of serviceable and strong slaves. And sometimes even to the underbellies of Lentyra. They had white pupils that made Normies mistake them as blind.

Piratians, a group that roamed the seas and airways, looking for royals and Arcadians fleets to loot. They were blessed with the eyes of a seer which were considered a nuisance as it gave them a place among the ranks of Trollans, as not all of their children followed the way of a piratian. They were a winning hand in battles. Their adult males were black eyed and made the majority of their population and their females and children were green eyed, there were a few of them among the children that were black eyed, these were considered by Trollans as the gifted as they could be adopted by any Trollan royalty by injecting them with the blood of a female Trollan turning them into loyal slaves of the Lentyra empire.

Mallanians, a kingdom of fairies that had ceased to exist after a century of ruling the Lentys formerly known as the birth country of Anastasia ( Mallens ).

The Arcadians, they were the bastard children of every fallen ancient warrior and humans known as Normies, cast out of Altrea, the home of ancient warriors, celestials to be precise, they were in constant struggle over the rule of the sky as there had been a lack of a Lent limitless queen to control them during the last century. They inherited white hair from their fallen warrior parents with streaks of black in them.

Normies were humans without power or pearls as they were called in Lentyra, they were humans of mixed races both black and white and were regarded as tax paying subjects or civilians of Lentys.

They were forbidden from marrying fallen celestials except for Trollans as that would create more Arcadians or worst off the Althmatanians, a cursed race that had begun to arise over the last century after the fall of ancient warriors from Altrea.

Althmatanians were individuals without pearls instead they were imbued with the curse of Altrea from birth, a life form that could bring to life inanimate objects and use them to feed on every person in Altrea and Lentyra.

They were used in the last decade as a punishment to fallen ancient warriors but later became outcast like the Mallanians after it was found out they could change from Althmatanians to Shadows, from Shadows to Trollans and then if within hundred days their Althmas were to consume a Lent, they could irreversibly become limitless lanterns which could become a disaster, as limitless lanterns were on par with the celestials and could control forces of nature. They were indistinguishable as they could change the colour of their eyes and bodies.

Unknown to the kingdom of Lentyra, the Arcadians had begun to form a pact with Lentyra greatest arch nemesis, the Amaxians, a division that was not recognized within the kingdom hierarchy and celestial records as they trafficked pearl gifted individuals known as lighters from Normies who were blessed with Altrea souls of reincarnated celestials.

Amaxi was ruled by an immortal overlord , an anomaly in the kingdom of Lentyra , as only Lentys were gifted with immortality by Altrea's celestials, he basked in bringing pain to his subjects and hated his name to be mentioned, to the outside world he was only a principal of the Shadow academy of the gifted , a disguise that was used to garner support from Piratians and Arcadians alike to procure gifted shadowers to fight against the Trollans and Lentys during war but underneath the bustling prestigious campus. A hidden world lay, known only to Shadows and Captured lighters, a world of pain and horrors that could break even the toughest Trollan.

Caius knew that the world he lived in was forbidden both to the Altrea's and Lentys but one thing each of them hated in common was the Althmatanians. A cursed breed that had been put to extinction during the last five years by all divisions hunting and killing them from birth before their Althmas were matured.

Now, a bubbling fool dared to bring in one,

Caius thought in dread as he tried to decipher who could be the child Althmatanian from the group of children lined up in the dark domed shaped hallway.

He wasn't concerned about the Normies brought in, as they would not survive the introduction that was to come from the second day, some had even died during the agony of screams in the pearl consuming dark tower when they were brought in, it was the first dimension anyone entering the dark entryway underneath the school was transported to. It determined the power levels of each individuals and killed off weaklings with little potentials and intruders with hidden intentions.

Caius was in a dilemma, they couldn't publicly take out the Althmatanian, as the overlord would know because of his power of clairvoyance to become aware of the number of persons that were brought into Amaxi.

Well, if we're discovered, I could always pin it on that new general,

He thought as he turned away from the entryway to go up the tower sixth floor.

Whoever you are , I pray to Altrea for your sake, that you die before you're discovered

From the ground level, among the group of trembling children staring at the entourage of black garbed shadowers, a little brown eyed girl turned her gaze upwards, her thoughts reflecting through her muddy colored eyes, not despair but longing.
