He had done everything to earn their love. Even when he became the fastest to reach Master rank, his father never spared him a glance. His brother treated him as a tool, and his mother existed only to give birth to him.
Years of struggle brought him nothing but orders.
No warmth.
No affection.
Even the friend he thought was a brother had left him without a goodbye.
And so his love for them rotted into ash. His family name was discarded long ago. Now, even if they all died, his heart would not stir.
But Reuel was different. Reuel had stayed when death was the only option. Reuel had pulled him back from the abyss again and again. Now Reuel's body floated in the sea of blood.
His chest cracked open. Rage replaced grief. His bloodshot hazel eyes turned white, lightning devouring his body. The sky itself bled into blinding light.
A teardrop trickled down, unconsciously, and his dried throat broke as his voice slipped out from his mouth.
"I... "
"I..."
"I...m...So...r...ry" The man desperately cried out, the pain shaking his body with an explosion of pain.
The anger boiled in him like a fiery flame.
Barely containing his anger as his broken body tries to pin him down, he had noticed that the source of the trembling and the destruction is nearing his side.
His bloodshot hazel eyes trembled with anger as they turned white. The lightning sparkles, coiling around him like a serpent turned violent in a speed that was inhumanly impossible to grasp.
Resulting in the red mist and the crimson sky turning white shade above him and around him.
The lightning vaporized everything around him, and the mountain of corpses he stood on remained unscathed. As if the lightning itself refused to harm them.
The source of destruction neared him, and he saw three figures.
One was a man entirely covered in blueish purple flames, whom he immediately recognized, and then came the other, it was a woman covered entirely in blood, ravaging in madness.
It was like she belonged to blood, a manifestation of blood in human form.
The last was an alien creature, humanoid shape, its skin looked like something made of white stone, and it was the source of the black energy, which was repulsive and destructive.
The man can see that his lightning, which was known to be the most destructive, fell short before the black energy.
The black energy was annihilating everything it touched, and the man felt that his lightning was scared of the black energy, but it didn't back off.
Instead, he let his lightning go wilder than he had ever let it.
He let the lightning consume him entirely and became the lightning itself.
His entire body radiated and resembled the mighty destruction of purple lightning.
The three figures who were fighting without a care for anything around them halted their actions as they felt the insane amount of energy fluctuating.
The man and the woman seemed to instantly recognize the new variable they encountered, but the humanoid alien creature only clicked his tongue in annoyance, seeing a pest daring to bite him.
Recognition flickered on him as the blueish purple flames wielder neared, and his face became clear. But the woman was an unknown figure to him. Her figure is totally covered in blood, and he is unsure of the woman's identity, whether to see her as an enemy or an ally.
He had never seen anyone who looked like her or even known anyone who could wield blood to such a degree.
She looked like a deity of blood.
But he hadn't bothered to question her identity even for a second. She is fighting against the alien, and that was enough for him to see her as an ally.
He manifested a long, curved sword of the highest quality, Mythic grade.
Held it firm in his hand, channeling his nexus energy, laced with an intense aura amplified by the raging emotions in him.
A lightning blade wrapped around the sword, and then two more blades of condensed nexus energy with intense aura, magnified by the rage of emotions, wrapped perfectly around the sword.
Everything around and behind him turned blinding white,
He jumped high in the air, brought the sword high, and descended in an arc that could represent the pinnacle of perfection.
[Threefold Heaven's destroying slash]
It was a simple vertical slash that contained the power to destroy mountains,
At an insane speed, an arc containing his Heavenfold Internal Art nature, and in addition to his Intense raging intent of aura, descended mercilessly towards the humanoid alien.
The attack was meant to deliver a serious injury without any way of avoiding it. It was an attack to make an opponent drown in overwhelming fear that even an Imperian ranker would be stunned at the sight of this insanely beautiful, containing dread.
But the Humoniad Alien was not an Imperian ranker. It was something else. Something stronger than an Imperian ranker.
The Humoniad Alien, with its strange black energy, had blocked the Threefold Heaven's destroying slash,
But it wasn't perfect, as two other attacks came at the alien from William and the strange woman, which were equal or even stronger than his own attack.
With the addition of the man in the battle, the tip of equilibrium maintained until now had shattered, and chaos fell loose to a degree that made the whole planet tremble.
The man, William, and the strange woman continued attacking, without ignoring the black energy from the humanoid Alien.
The fight went on for hours, even though they all seemed on the verge of death, they all had one thought in them
'Kill'
That was the only fuel dragging there, broken and half-dead bodies,
The three couldn't believe what they were seeing here. Even after the breaking of the equilibrium, how can this creature be so much stronger than they, who reached the pinnacle of power? They didn't have an answer for it?
An Aspect?
A Title granting the creature more power?
A physique stronger and superior than what they have?
Or
Is there a rank above The Imperion?
They didn't know, but three humans alive cannot let this thing live, which was clear to them.
Mainly, the broken man, his rage building as the seconds passed, He wanted to annihilate their race, their planet, whoever or whatever did this, the reason behind Reuel's death. He wouldn't let them live.
Consumed by it, he decided to do what he had never dared to do before. Actually, it's not because he never wanted to do it, but he was simply incapable of performing it, which he now decided to bet everything on.
The technique Heaven's Fold destroyer, inspired by Nexus blades and Aura blades, he had created an entire battle art called Heaven's Fold destroyer. It is a technique where one needs to fulfill certain conditions to perform.
Even as an Imperion ranker, with everything he possessed, he was only able to perform three folds.
But now he had decided to go beyond that.
There are risks involved, but what can he even lose at this point?
'Nothing,' he thought.
So he wrung his nexus, aura, and intent he had desperately possessed.
Even in his broken condition, he was still enduring the additional strain, this brought forth.
Blood trickling down from his eyes and mouth instantly vaporizes by the intense heat, the destructive power of the sword contained.
A new blade containing nexus, aura, and intent formed on his sword, which would have been enough to bring ruin to miles of land, but this wasn't enough to bring down the monster in front of him that the other two were fighting now.
He needed more.
The tension and strain on the sword were enormous. He felt the sword's weight increase manyfold, but he didn't stop there.
He needed more.
