Since Eric knew that Lex Luthor had been targeted by the Owl Council, and the assassins sent by the Council could act against him at any time, he naturally wouldn't let Lex Luthor come into his home.
Once Lex Luthor entered, any conflict would inevitably implicate the farm.
He would never allow such a thing as 'leading a wolf into the house' to happen, unless he had lost his mind.
"Can't I?"
Feeling Eric's gaze, which exuded a strong sense of danger, on him, Clark asked with some surprise.
"I won't agree."
Eric withdrew his unfriendly gaze. "This will destroy this home."
"Destroy?"
Clark didn't understand why the other party would use such a serious word.
"I don't understand why you would say 'destroy'. It's just a party among a few people. It's a private occasion, Eric."
"A party among a few people? Clark, you are always so naive."
Eric let out a scoff. "I don't believe your friends will keep it a secret and not blab to the whole school: 'Hey, Clark's house is having a party tonight.' And I also don't believe that those high schoolers with surging hormones will see a party offering free beer and donuts and resist the temptation not to come."
"Once that group of reckless high schoolers gets into the house, they will destroy this home."
Clark disagreed with his brother's statement. "I don't think things will be that serious, Eric. I can control it. It's just a private gathering."
"Clark, you always confidently believe you can control everything, but every time you mess it up."
Eric stood up, staring coldly at the other party. "I think that when necessary, you must listen to my opinion."
"Yeah, you always seem to be right."
Clark instantly stood up, confronting Eric: "You always seem to know the truth of everything, just like Coach Watt last time, but you won't share it with me, you won't trust me enough to pull me into your camp, yet you keep asking me to follow your inexplicable rules."
Clark, filled with indignation, said to Eric, word by word: "I can control this small gathering."
After speaking, he turned and walked out.
With his super speed activated, he moved to the doorway in an instant.
But the next second, Clark had to stop his super-speed movement.
Because Eric stood in front of him.
"Nothing moves according to your will, Clark. I think canceling it is the right thing to do."
Eric blocked Clark's path, speaking in a faint tone.
"How? I've already informed Lana and Lex. If you don't agree, you can call our parents and let them know. But if you want me to cancel it voluntarily, I'm sorry, I can't do it, because I'd rather be a person who takes responsibility alone than one who goes back on their word."
Clark's stubborn temper also flared up at this point, and he firmly refused to back down.
"Then you must reflect at home today, Clark."
Eric took a step forward, blocking his brother's path.
If the other party insisted on having a party and letting the pest Lex Luthor in, to prevent the farm from being destroyed, Eric wouldn't mind using force against Clark.
"You can't trap me, Eric."
Clark's eyes became sharp.
"Clark, you know, your speed can't surpass mine!"
Eric's eyes were fixed on Clark, and he said in a tone that showed no emotion: "Unless you can defeat me, no matter how you try to escape, I will chase you down. I will keep you trapped at all times."
"I know."
Clark clenched his fists tightly. "I've always been the slow-witted one. Whether it's the timing of my abilities awakening or the development and utilization of my talents, I'm not as good as you. But Eric, perhaps you've never noticed that I've always been trying to catch up to your pace. You run forward, never seeing how I'm progressing behind you."
"Clark, are you saying I don't understand you?" Eric asked, his brows slightly furrowed.
"Aren't you? At least you don't understand the current me at all."
Clark's statement carried a strange sense of resentment.
"The way you say that makes me even more curious. Well, let's try it. Let's see if I can stop you."
Eric's eyes narrowed.
Bang!
Bang!
Air sound waves vibrated outwards, spreading like ripples.
The spreading roar caused bursts of explosive sounds in the air.
The residual air waves, vibrating the room door, slammed it shut.
Two currents of air, invisible to the naked eye, rapidly shot out from the farm towards the desolate plain.
The moment Eric activated, he realized that Clark's speed far exceeded his expectations.
In a single breath, he had already shot hundreds of meters away!
His short sprint speed was almost close to 300 meters per second.
One must know that his own speed had barely broken the sound barrier (340 meters per second), and now the other party's speed instantly shot up to nearly 300!
Is this the talent of Superman?
Even if it's just the initial stage of talent manifestation, it has reached this level?
Although surprised by the burst of super speed from Clark, Eric didn't stop, immediately accelerating to catch up with the other party.
His arms swung rapidly, moving forward at high speed in a running posture like Flash.
The airflow caused the corn in the field to tilt outwards, and the two air currents, tightly packed with air, formed a whirlwind on the ground that swept forward.
After leaving two trails of tilted crops in the cornfield, the two air currents burst out, continuing their high-speed movement without losing momentum.
In an instant, the air currents representing the two passed through a fir forest and impacted onto the road.
Clark no longer held back, fully unleashing his talent. All he wanted now was to run with all his might.
The sound of rushing wind filled his ears, and a screen of air isolated his physical senses, as the blurred scenery around him flashed by.
Running at full speed along the forest road, he felt as if he had transformed into a streak of light at this moment.
Is this the experience of ultimate speed?
Clark was momentarily immersed in the exhilaration of "how strong I am when I go all out."
Bang!
A deafening sound suddenly rang out behind him, like a thunderclap falling from the sky.
Amidst the dull brewing of the rumbling "thunder," Clark's back emitted continuous "bang bang bang" air explosion sounds.
The trees on both sides of the road were instantly struck by the airwaves, as if blown apart, with branches and leaves scattering outwards.
The airwave was rushing towards him along the road!
The energy in the compressed, dense atmosphere instantly burst outwards, and the huge air explosion formed a shockwave that blasted him away.
Bang!
Clark's body heavily slammed into the soft dirt in the forest.
Due to his extreme speed, he even plowed a long trail along the ground before finally stopping.
"Cough, cough."
Spitting out a mouthful of dirt, Clark, with a dizzy head, looked at Eric, who stood expressionlessly in front of him, revealing an extremely shocked expression.
"What...what is this? A sonic boom?"
