Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 — I Think I'm Too Sincere...

When I opened my eyes, I saw an unfamiliar ceiling.

This is the Fairy Tail girls' dormitory; the empty room was originally meant for Noah to stay in temporarily.

As for why Noah didn't live in the boys' dormitory...

First of all, there has to be a boys' dormitory!

Noah never imagined that such a well-known, large guild would have no male dormitory.

Or perhaps there was one, but because the troublemakers often fought, the boys' dormitory was repeatedly destroyed, and a huge amount of money was spent on repairs and reconstruction.

In the end, because the compensation costs were too high, Makarov angrily cancelled the men's dormitory and told the male members to find their own accommodation.

"This is outrageous. How much do they love destroying things?"

Lying on the bed and thinking back to last night, Noah actually felt a little sympathy for Makarov for a moment. It really isn't easy to be guild master.

Just the day before, the celebration to welcome Noah had somehow turned into a welcome party.

Noah had been swept up in the group's enthusiasm, but for some unknown reason the boys named Natsu and Gray started fighting again, and many tables, chairs, plates, wine glasses, and other things were smashed.

In the end, the two were flung out of the guild by an enraged Makarov with his giant fist and shot off into the night sky like stars. Their shouts of "We'll definitely come back!" could still be faintly heard.

Just as Noah was about to get up, he sensed something and waved his hand to unleash his magic.

The pure white "Prayer" magic transformed into a form resembling a request slip before his eyes.

[Prayer for this world]

[Etrius Natsu Dragneel, due to overeating, his living expenses have run out this month, and he urgently needs a meal of meat to replenish his energy.]

[Reward: Fire Resistance (Weak)]

[Duration: 60 minutes]

Looking at the prayer order, Noah was silent.

The wish orders that can be found by the "Wish" magic must reflect what the client sincerely wants at the moment, which means Natsu really wanted to eat meat.

But why want a big meal when you have no money? Why not go make some money?

Also, isn't this guy's full name too long? "Etrius" and "Dragneel" look a bit like two surnames.

However, if a meat meal can be exchanged for fire resistance, it seems a good deal.

But the problem is that Noah is penniless now, and all daily necessities in this dormitory are sponsored by Mira's family.

Is one hour enough to go to the guild, accept the quest, and come back?

Forget it. I'll do it next time.

Noah's laziness kicked in; he lay down again after just sitting up and sealed himself under the quilt.

"Noah, are you awake?"

There was a knock on the door and Mira's voice. Noah had to break free from the quilt and get out of bed.

He opened the door with messy hair and stared at the person outside, a hint of doubt in his eyes.

She wore a burgundy dress with a bow-like tie at the chest, a sapphire pendant around her neck, high heels, and her bangs were combed up and tied into a cute little bun on top of her head.

Gentle and virtuous temperament, angelic smile.

She had been dressed like a little gangster yesterday!

Who are you, beauty?

Although he knew it was Mira, Noah still shouted in his heart.

"Good morning, Mira. What's up?"

Noah invited Mira into the room and poured her a glass of water.

Mira took a package from behind her, opened it on the table, and pushed it toward Noah. It turned out to be stacks of neatly arranged banknotes.

She... couldn't be thinking of supporting me!

Noah suddenly became nervous. In Edlas, he had seen news about rich women supporting young men in some niche papers.

Rubbing cucumbers with steel wool is so scary!

Not knowing Noah was already imagining things, Mira said cheerfully, "Noah, the reward for 'Subjugating the Beast King' has arrived. The total bounty is 12 million, which is exactly 3 million each for the four of us. This is your share."

"I see."

Noah breathed a sigh of relief. It had been his dirty thoughts. Although Mira was a powerful S-class wizard, she was also a 17-year-old girl. She shouldn't know those manipulative ways.

Looking at the money on the table, Noah realized Mira's share and the others' were more than 3 million. Facing his questioning gaze, Mira explained, "It was Elfman. He asked me to pass on his share of the reward to you, saying it's to thank you for saving Lisanna."

Noah understood. Elfman was still grateful for family ties. He asked how Elfman was now.

"He's... a man now."

Mira smiled with relief, as if happy about her brother's sudden growth.

Mira left after a short visit. She still had to go to Grandma Polushka for a checkup. This was Makarov's request because he worried about Mira's health.

According to Mira, Grandma Polushka is Makarov's best friend. She has excellent medical skills but a strange personality and lives in seclusion in the forest outside Magnolia.

Polyusica — Noah knew this name.

In Edlas, Faust's biological sister — Noah's aunt — was also named Polyusica and was a skilled doctor.

Unfortunately, Noah had never met his aunt; he had only seen photos of her when she was young, because Polyusica disappeared when Faust was still a child.

Noah ran his palm across the banknotes, feeling the paper's texture, and roughly counted them. It was a total of 9 million. It seemed Mira hadn't told the whole truth; she and Lisanna had also given part of their rewards to Noah.

The dormitory rent is about 100,000 a month — enough for Noah to live comfortably for a long time.

Mira and the others thanked Noah for saving them, and Noah thanked them for the timely help.

"Then let's go have a big meal."

"By the way, where does Natsu live?"

By the time Noah went to the guild to ask about Natsu's residence and arrived, fifteen minutes had passed.

A cheap bungalow in the corner of Magnolia — this is where Natsu lived.

He knocked on the door but got no response, so Noah pushed it open with one hand.

The imagined scene of a bare house did not appear. Although the room was a bit messy, it could be described as "a place where people live."

Seeing the cherry-haired boy lying weakly on the floor and a blue cat with a rumbling stomach, Noah knew why there had been no answer when he knocked.

"It's only been less than a day and you're already this hungry? How did you manage that..."

"Also, what's up with this Transcendent?"

Thirty minutes later, in a barbecue restaurant on Magnolia Food Street, more than twenty empty plates were piled high on a table.

Many diners were attracted by the young man eating voraciously. Some even started betting on whether the cherry-haired boy could beat the restaurant's record of thirty dishes.

"Ah~ I'm alive."

After the 29th empty-plate operation, Natsu leaned back in his chair with satisfaction, rubbing his bulging belly. It seemed he still hadn't reached the 30th plate.

"Noah, thanks for treating me to grilled fish."

A blue cat named Happy sat on the table like a little man, with a plate of leftover grilled fish bones beside him.

Looking at Happy, Noah couldn't help but stroke his soft fur — something he couldn't do in Edlas.

In Edlas, a special race is born with magical powers and the appearance of cats; each can cast a "wings" spell to fly. They are worshipped as angels by humans and call themselves "Transcendents."

Happy is a Transcendent cat. Although Noah didn't know how he came to Ascalante, he's a good cat as long as people can pet him.

[Local commission completed]

[Reward: Fire Resistance (Weak)]

[Client's comment: Praise Noah! ]

Noah felt something happen to his body and glanced at Natsu. "Are you full, Natsu? If not, ask the waiter to bring more meat. It's my treat."

Although Natsu was always tough when fighting, after overeating and being fed by Noah, he felt embarrassed to continue.

"Noah, you haven't accepted the commission yet, right? Want to team up with me and Happy?"

"Aihey! Noah, let's go together!"

Stroking the cat's fur, Noah politely declined Natsu and Happy's invitation, saying he wanted to read a book.

After spending 10,000 and leaving the barbecue restaurant, when Noah and Natsu were about to part, a new wish order suddenly appeared.

[This World's Prayer Order]

[To thank his new companion for his generosity, Natsu wants to team up with him to complete a good commissioned mission.]

[Reward: Fire Resistance (Strong)]

[Duration: 24 hours]

No, buddy... you're here to help me increase my meal supply, right?

But this crappy magic doesn't come with any sales bonus!

A wish order requires the client to be sincere; it must reflect what the client most wants at the moment for the "Wish" magic to retrieve it and generate the order.

Noah looked at Natsu, who hadn't left yet. This guy... isn't he too sincere...
