Chapter 26 - The Call

Kiana was nearly out the door, fingers just about to pull it shut, when a sudden sound broke the silence—

Ring~ Ring~

She paused.

Her hand lingered on the knob before slowly reopening the door.

Her eyes drifted toward the source—the soft buzz and glow of Liend's phone vibrating on the desk.

She stepped toward it.

On the screen, a name flashed brightly:

Rissa ❤️

Kiana stared at it, unmoving. The phone rang a few more times… then went silent. The call ended.

The lock screen lit up again—this time showing a string of notifications.

60 missed calls.

All from her.

Kiana continued to stare.

Her gaze lingered—on the screen, remembering.

"Isn't she…" Kiana murmured, lifting the phone into her hand, "his girlfriend?"

Her thumb hovered for a moment—then she unlocked the device.

Of course she knew the password.

Even if she didn't, she could've bypassed it without effort.

She navigated swiftly, opening the VLine app. Her expression remained unreadable as the message thread loaded.

At the bottom—A photo.

(Rissa's shaved pussy)

Sent just yesterday.

Beneath it, a caption:

"Waiting for tomorrow—after practice, baby💋"

Kiana's eyes drifted down.

Another photo.

(A bare shot of Liend's half-hardened cock)

Sent in reply.

Below it:

"Been waiting for it all day."

And beneath that—A heart reaction.

From Rissa.

Kiana scrolled further—up through the thread.

More images.

More messages.

All of them intimate. Nude. Shameless.

Her son and his girlfriend.

Kiana's hand stilled. She inhaled deeply—slowly—containing something that rose in her chest.

Then, quietly, she murmured—soft, almost hushed.

He's already mine…

Just need to play this right.

Kiana inhaled deeply, steadying herself.

Then—with precise fingers—she returned the call to Rissa, Liend's girlfriend.

The line barely rang once.

"I've been—" Rissa's voice exploded through the speaker, loud and furious.

"Waiting for you all day! The whole team even stayed back an extra hour before starting practice—where the hell are you, Liend?!"

Kiana held the phone away slightly. Even on speaker, Rissa's rage came through clearly—hot, unfiltered.

Kiana cleared her throat softly.

"Ahem. Rissa?"

Her voice was calm.

Too calm.

Sweet. Innocent. Deceptively polite.

There was a pause on the other end.

Then Rissa's voice shifted—immediately sincere, almost nervous.

"Oh—hello, Miss Kiana. Is… is Liend there?"

Her voice had shifted—toned down instantly into something softer, more respectful—but Kiana could still hear it.

Beneath the politeness, that subtle edge of rage lingered.

It was there.

For Liend.

Kiana, unbothered, replied with a calm sweetness—almost playful in its innocence.

"Oh, Rissa… it's you?" she said, as if surprised.

"Yes, ma'am," Rissa responded quickly, her tone now formal, anxious. "Is Liend there?"

Kiana hummed—a gentle sound, laced with something heavier. A faint sorrow. A feigned regret.

"Honey," she said softly, "Liend's been injured. He's severely ill… and he may not be able to attend school for the rest of this session."

There was silence.

Then a soft gasp from the other end.

"W-What…?" Rissa's voice cracked.

"Wasn't he fine… yesterday?"

Rissa's voice came fast—rushed, overwhelmed.

"What happened? Tomorrow's the start of the regional football matches—!"

The questions spilled out of her, one after another—no breath, no pause.

A storm of confusion and concern.

Kiana remained still, her voice soft—barely above a whisper.

"He… may not be able to attend high school any longer," she said gently. "We'll figure something out for the exams, of course, but…"

She paused—just enough to let the words settle.

"As the doctor said, it'll be difficult for him. To attend… or even get out of bed anymore."

The silence on the other end was thick.

Then—

A sharp inhale.Rissa gasped—visibly shaken, her voice cracking as she tried to process it.

"B–But…"Her voice suddenly rose—urgent, high-pitched.

"Can I come see him? Is he okay? What happened?!"

Rissa unleashed a flurry of questions—barely able to contain herself.

But Kiana stayed composed, her voice wrapped in that same sweet, practiced calm.

The mask held steady.

"No, honey… I'm sure you have your own responsibilities—those upcoming matches, the festival preparations, and everything the school's starting to organize…"

She didn't even finish before Rissa interjected.

"No, not at all, ma'am! I'm fine—really. I can come see Liend anytime. I won't have to make up for anything—"

But Kiana cut in gently, before the girl could finish.

"It's alright, sweetheart," she said, voice soft but firm.

"Liend should be fine in a few days… maybe well enough to walk. But going outside? That might be too troublesome for him."

She paused, letting her words sink in.

"And for you—you need to prepare for your exams, your team, the festival… it'd be too much, wouldn't it? Coming all the way here just to see Liend."

Rissa interjected again, her voice firm—resolute.

"Not at all! I may be out of town right now—and it's already 6 p.m.—but tell Liend... I'll be there first thing in the morning. The very first thing he sees."

"Child—"

Kiana began, her tone slipping.

Beep. Beep.

The line went dead.

Kiana blinked, staring at the phone in her hand. Her expression was distant—dazed.

"She's… troublesome," she murmured.

Her eyes drifted downward—toward where her bedroom lay, where Liend now slept, unaware.

"I'll have to do something about her…" she whispered, teeth gently pressing against the edge of her thumbnail, thoughtful.

The screen dimmed. The phone powered off—clicking into silence.
