Yo readers author here đ,so I will like to thank y'all for sticking with me so far and this is definitely a good chaotic read. This is a bonus sub chapter to explain some of the systems chaotic glitches so far. There are definitely more fun glitches coming up so stay tuned for chap 5 dropping tomorrow and umm seems I forgot something wait how does the brain know something that it forgot when it actually forgot it đ€. My log saved me again, this sub chapter is in between chap 4 and 5 a bit of both but am trying not to post any spoiler so you can guess the glitch skill from this sub chap yea am being generous here for apparently no reason. Enjoy.Â
Kael panted, the air thick with mana and singed rubber duck stink. Byte, his glitched mana ferret, curled on his shoulder, tail sparking like a busted circuit. Lila's pendant had gone darkâtoo convenient, that rogue. Kael's panel glowed, neon-green text nagging: Sync Pulse: 2%. Codebreaker: 5%. The Chaos System's absurdityâScreaming Toaster Swarm, Glitchy Pinata, Exploding Rubber Duckâwas a nightmare. "This system's memeing me to death," he muttered, snark hiding dread. "But there's order in this chaos, right?" Codebreaker ticked to 6% after the Golem's core cracked, a faint hope.
System Log: Chaos System Codex
Access: Kael, Peasant #47 (NPC)
Core Directive: Embrace the glitch. Break the code.
Skill Generation: Ordered Chaos Protocol
Kael blinked at the new tab, unlocked post-Golem. "Codex? Now you're talking, troll system." Byte chirped, nipping his earâow, classic. The text scrolled,
Hacker-manifesto style:Skill Generation: Ordered Chaos
The Chaos System isn't a random loot box, despite Kael's pinata disasters. It's a glitched algorithm, tied to Aetherion's banned Coder code. Every sunrise (~24 in-game hours, ~1 real-world hour), it assigns a Daily Skill, a chaotic wildcard tied to Glitch Affinity (6% now). Screaming Toaster Swarm was Day 1; Glitchy Pinata hit later. Higher affinity means weirder, stronger skills.Chaos has order. In high-stress momentsâcombat, traps, or Zeta's scans (22 hours to deletion)âBonus Skills trigger, like Glitter Bomb or Exploding Rubber Duck. Limited to 1-2 per in-game hour, tied to Chaos Points (25 now), they boost Glitch Affinity (+1-2%) and Codebreaker (+1%). They're riskyâepic or uselessâbut never dull.Cooldown & Limits: Skills (daily or bonus) have a 30-minute cooldown, forcing strategy over spam. Chaos Points fuel crafting (Chaos Bracer, Glitch Dagger), and Sync Pulse (2%) hints at hidden synergy, maybe Kael's ticket out of Zeta's crosshairs. The Coder's Touch: The Glitch Log whispers: Every chaos has order. Skills like Summon Glitchy Pinata are fragments of the Coder's banned code, woven into Aetherion. Codebreaker (6% post-Golem) unlocks hintsâCrypt runes, Coder's Fragment. The system's a test: master it or get wiped.Kael snorted, closing the panel. "A dead hacker's prank? Figures." Byte nipped his finger, sparking. "You love this mess, don't you?" The Crypt's stairwell loomed, runes pulsing. Lila's footsteps echoedâally or snake? The panel pinged: Daily Skill Reset: 1 hour to sunrise. Iron Fang was closing in, and Kael needed more than rubber to live.
