Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: Farewell, Son Goku

Chapter 77: Farewell, Son Goku

Hearing Franklin's instructions, Krillin took a deep breath, his expression solemn. "I got it. I'll definitely give it a try.

Let's go, I'll take you to find Goku first. The sooner we finish, the sooner I can get back to training. Oh, right, Brother Franklin, did you and Bulma have a falling out? And this girl next to you is…?"

Before Franklin could speak, Lala stepped forward curiously.

"My name is Lala Satalin Deviluke. I'm Franklin's fiancée. I'd like to know—who is this Bulma you mentioned? Was she someone Franklin liked before?"

Hearing Lala introduce herself and feeling her curious gaze on him, Krillin took a deep breath.

"Uh… Brother Franklin, did I just say something wrong?"

Franklin spread his hands with a smile. "No, it's fine. Just speak directly. Once we get the Four-Star Ball from Goku, the remaining six Dragon Balls are all with Bulma.

I'll be taking Lala with me anyway. It's better to introduce Bulma now than avoid the issue. Sooner or later, it has to be faced."

Seeing how calm and composed Franklin was, Krillin sucked in a breath. *"So strong! As expected of Brother Franklin.

I don't even have a girlfriend right now, and my future doesn't look promising either. But Brother Franklin can face a love triangle this calmly!"*

After muttering to himself, he turned to the curious Lala.

"I don't know all the details, but about four or five years ago, Brother Franklin and Bulma were very close—probably dating, though not at the point of marriage yet."

"Four or five years ago, someone Lin liked… Now I'm curious to see what kind of person she is, what makes her so charming.

Lin, let's hurry. Once we get that Four-Star Dragon Ball, take me to meet Bulma. I'd love to get to know her—maybe even become friends."

Seeing Lala not only show no signs of jealousy but even look excited, Krillin's jaw dropped in shock. He suddenly knelt on the ground and bowed toward Franklin.

"Brother Franklin, I'm begging you, please take me as your disciple. I want to have a girlfriend too!"

Franklin neatly sidestepped the bow.

"Don't kneel to me like that. I don't have any special tricks—just real feelings. If you treat a down-to-earth, hardworking girl well, the two of you will have a good future."

"Put in real feelings… Got it. I'll work hard!"

Seeing Krillin's fiery determination, Franklin added, "But feelings and money alone aren't enough.

There's a prerequisite—the girl has to be down-to-earth and hardworking too. Otherwise, you'll just end up as a simp. No matter how much you give, it'll all be for nothing."

Watching Krillin nod seriously, Franklin finally nodded too.

"Good. Now let's head out."

As Krillin floated up with Flight Technique, Franklin waved him over. "No need for that. Come here and stand next to me."

Though curious, Krillin didn't refuse.

As a white light enveloped them, the scene before his eyes changed again—high-tech teleportation equipment, futuristic architecture, and outside the porthole, a star-filled galaxy with a full view of Earth.

Krillin's jaw dropped, his eyes wide in disbelief.

"Th-This is… Where are we?"

Franklin smiled faintly. "This is the main flagship of Deviluke's space fleet—Lala's family's ship."

"Lala's family's ship?!"

As they walked toward the main control room, Krillin stared wide-eyed at the futuristic corridors.

When they entered the control room, Franklin saw Zastin staring at Krillin in disbelief. Only when they approached did Zastin snap out of it.

"Ahem, welcome back, son-in-law. And this is…?"

"This is Krillin, a friend of mine from Earth. His power level surprised you, didn't it?"

At Franklin's teasing, Zastin exhaled deeply. "I really didn't expect an ordinary Earthling to reach this level."

Franklin smiled lightly, his tone playful. "This isn't even his limit. I believe he can go even further. And so can I.

Bring up the map. The place we're going this time is the real highlight. The person we're about to meet will definitely shock you."

As Krillin selected the location on the map, Franklin saw that the spot used to be Fire Mountain, but now a huge castle-like mansion stood there.

A flash of white light later, the four of them appeared beside the castle. Seeing the luxurious building, Franklin couldn't help but be taken aback.

"This is Goku's house?"

Krillin nodded. "That's right. Because of Brother Franklin's instructions, 5% of your shares in Capsule Corporation were given to Goku and 5% to me and Master Roshi. Over the years, the amount of money we've accumulated is too much to count. Luckily, I don't care about wealth. Otherwise, I might have been corrupted too."

Hearing this, Franklin felt a bad premonition. "Then how's Goku's power level now? He hasn't fallen behind, right?"

"Of course not. He trains harder than anyone. Thanks to your support and those shares, Goku and Chi-Chi are living a great life.

They even have a son now—Gohan. Following your guidance, he trains every day. His power level is probably about the same as that guy over there."

Krillin pointed to Zastin. Zastin's eyes widened. "How old is Gohan now?"

Krillin thought for a moment. "About four. He's already way stronger than we were at that age. But that's not the amazing part.

Brother Franklin said Gohan's potential is limitless—his talent is even greater than his father's. Once he's older, he can train even harder."

Zastin let out a long breath. He finally began to understand why the king agreed to the engagement and allowed him to stay on Earth to assist Franklin's growth.

At this rate, Earth might really rise to the forefront of the galaxy one day.

A rushing sound cut through the air, and two figures—one big and one small—landed beside them.

"I knew it was you guys! Brother Franklin, you finally came to see me. I've missed you for so long, but since you told me not to bother you, I held back."

Looking at the adult Goku, tears glimmering at the corners of his eyes, Franklin took a deep breath.

"Come on, it's just been a while. Why does this feel like some family reunion?"

Goku chuckled. "It's not that different. If it weren't for you, Brother Franklin, I wouldn't have this good life. After Grandpa passed away, you were the one who treated me best."

The warmth and security Franklin felt from Goku was something special—almost like family. After a big hug with Goku, Franklin looked down at little Gohan clinging to his father's leg.

"Not bad at all. You look full of spirit. In the future, you'll be a great protector of Earth too."
