Chapter 20 - Meeting the players

Looking at those Zombies running much faster than the others that I have hunted up until now, I had only one thought in my mind.

Must be the Witch.

And with that in my mind, I took a deep breath before taking a step towards the incoming zombies. Taking out the basic sword, I waited for the closest zombie, a level 5 one, coming about 2 meters close to me.

-Slash!

[Critical Hit!]

And with a quick slash, I cut its neck, before stepping aside letting its headless body run a few more steps and then falling on the ground.

Not wasting the little time I had, I dodged the next zombie's bite before moving for a 360-degree slash, once again on the neck.

-Slash!

[Critical hit!]

The second zombie fell on the ground as well while I saw the last one barely 3 meters away from me, coming at me at full throttle.

Not having enough time to move my body, I simply raised my sword horizontally, positioning it directly against the 3rd incoming zombie, as his incoming force pushed its entire neck into the sword.

-Pierce!

[Critical Hit!]

[-1 Durability!]

[Durability Reached Zero. Sword Broken!]

As the three Zombies died, I saw the last one, the level 6 one running towards me with full force, much more ferocious than the others.

[Attack: 10 -> 15]

[Agility: 10 ->15]

Using 2/3rd of my stats for attack and agility without any hesitation, I then focused on that Zombie as I took a step on the side, dodging him while using my leg to trip him on the ground.

Sadly the zombie did not fall down, just slowly stumbled before stopping completely. Though it was good enough to garner all his aggro back at him.

-Rawr!!!

And just like usual he came back at me, though this time much slower than before.

-Kick!

A kick to its Solar Plexus to kill its momentum.

-Kick! Kick! Kick!

Three more, one on his head, one on his chest and another on his abdomen. He brought his head a bit lower than before.

-Lower cut Kick!

And then using the other leg, a Brazilian Kick on his neck with all the force I could muster.

[Critical Hit!]

[You have killed a Zombie (Enraged) (Level 6)]

[+4 Exp!][+2 Bronze Coins]

Still no drops, huh? I made a saddened expression as I looked at those zombies as their bodies began to disintegrate.

Since I was Level 7, the Level 5 Zombies were basically useless providing me with no Exp or coins. As for the little I hoped for from level 6, there was barely anything I received.

Turning my eyes to the trio that had stopped running, and was now observing me from a distance, I analysed their names and levels first. And then, focusing on the one Level 3 one, who seemed to be their leader, I moved closer.

"T-T-Thank you, Sir!!!" The orange-haired kid with the spear bowed 90 degrees before standing up straight. And with his eyes glittering he continued without waiting for my response,

"Sir! How did you do that?!! Are you a martial artist in real life? No! That doesn't even explain how you used the sword! Anyways, sir, that was extremely freakingly super duper COOL!!!!!"

His eyes glittering with excitement he moved in closer to me while still maintaining a healthy distance between us.

For a few seconds in between, I took my eyes off him and observed the other two standing behind him.

[Link Level 1]

The blonde-haired guy was also amazed but not as much as this one. He was being sceptical about something as he simply observed me from a distance without saying anything.

Good. At least one of them is rational enough to stop and think first. A smile formed on my face as I saw his calculating gaze as he wanted to understand my stance against them.

[Raven Level 1]

As for the black haired girl, she was observing me with keen interest. Unlike the other two, there wasn't amazement in her eyes but more akin to curiosity, as if I had piqued her interest.

I think I have seen her somewhere before. Is she someone I knew in my previous life? I had this sudden nostalgic tingling feeling but I couldn't pinpoint it exactly.

"Sir?"

[Blaze Level 3]

I turned back to the orange-haired kid, and answered with a humble smile," It's all right. It was something anyone would have done anyway. As for the martial arts… Well, I have learnt a few."

"COOOL!!!!" He shouted before he suddenly realised something. And then with a thoughtful expression that was totally different from before, he observed my face and then asked,

"Sir. Would you like to be a part of my stream? No. Sir, I would like to have you in my stream! I want to stream your actions and hunts! Even if it is just for the settlement, it's fine! I promise I won't disturb you!"

Ah! He was a streamer? No wonder he was showing so many emotions at once. I pondered as I heard his words before thinking about it for a few seconds.

It wasn't like I wasn't thinking about streaming, but if I do that myself, I would lose a lot of time that I could utilise in other things. Plus there was an additional headache of my identity getting revealed through the ID I might create online.

"All right, you can do that. But I have a few conditions first," I spoke as a calculated smile appeared on my face, sending slight shivers down Blaze's spine.
