Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 Take what you need

"This is...the Youxing Vanguard that shattered the primordial divinity?"

Ares couldn't help but ask, looking at the giant lying quietly on the ground.

"According to the planet's records, the giant god that shattered the primordial divinity was 'Wilpa 02'. This one should be its companion," Hecate said. "The original 'Wilpa 02' possessed a powerful ability to continuously absorb surrounding magic and evolve itself. This thing should also have it, but it was killed by Uranus's self-detonation in space before it could even unfold. It was quite unlucky."

Then, she couldn't suppress her excitement and said, "Don't worry about all that, hurry up and bring me what's inside. I'll research it, and you'll get the results!"

"Aren't you afraid that if Athena finds out, she'll self-destruct and tell Zeus, and then we'll both be struck dead by his divine lightning?" Ares switched his clone's perspective and continued, "Besides, my other clone and Athena are almost at the coordinate location. That giant is too big to move in time."

"Hmm..."

Hecate frowned, thought for a moment, then clapped her hands and said,

"Then bring me that shattered core, yes, that Rubik's Cube. Be careful not to drop any fragments."

"This Rubik's Cube?" Ares looked at it. Although this Rubik's Cube was larger than a human, his clones were infused with divine power, so carrying such a large object wasn't tiring.

Sensing Athena's approach, he quickly picked up the fragments on the ground and put them back onto the Rubik's Cube. After thinking for a moment, he casually threw a small monitoring magic item into a dark corner of the stone chamber. Then, he picked up the Rubik's Cube, quickly returned to the starship, and jumped out through the ship's opening.

Within the barrier of the restraining force, Hecate's spatial teleportation magic still found it difficult to interfere. Therefore, he had to go to the bottom of the trench where he had previously entered the barrier. Just as his clone was swiftly swimming towards the designated location with the Rubik's Cube, on the surface of the sea, two figures rapidly ran towards the location of the trench, their extraordinary speed stirring up two huge waves.

Under the gaze of the gods, Athena and Ares arrived one after another at the end of Oceanus, which was also the end of the world.

Athena reached the finish line first. She stood still for about a second before Ares's clone, burning with divine power, rushed past her, crashed into the world's barrier, then slowly slid down and fell into the seawater, appearing incredibly clumsy.

The Goddess of Wisdom turned around, standing on the sea. At the same time, a faint light quietly fell into the sea from beneath her feet, transforming into a swimming fish that flicked its tail and swam into the deep sea. After this small action, she spoke softly to the God of War, who was slowly emerging from the sea:

"Ares, you lost."

Ares surfaced, angrily wiped his face, and then shouted with a helpless loud voice:

"Damn it, fine, you win this round!"

As he admitted his defeat, the gods on Olympus burst into an uproar. Some were happy, some were angry. They had set up a wager on the competition between the God of War and the Goddess of Wisdom, with Zeus as the dealer, who bet on his daughter and made a killing.

However, just as the King of Gods was smiling, the fish transformed by Athena had already reached the seabed where the trench was located. At the same time, Ares's clone, carrying the Rubik's Cube taken from the yusei starship, swam out of yusei's range of influence, then entered the spatial gate opened by Hecate and disappeared into the deep sea.

Meanwhile, on the surface of the sea, Athena's illusionary clone also said to Ares, "A bet is a bet, Ares. Go back now and bestow your concept upon Prometheus's creation."

Ares's clone feigned a disheartened expression and then said, "A bet is a bet, I won't go back on my word, don't worry, I'm heading back now."

"I'll go back with you."

Athena's illusionary clone said, and then, along with the God of War's clone, quickly flew back towards the residence of the Prometheus brothers.

At this time, Ares's clone had already moved the strange Rubik's Cube from the yusei starship back to Hecate's Tree Palace. The Moon Goddess quickly sealed the Rubik's Cube with a barrier, then swiftly took the Rubik's Cube and, with a flash, went to her secret laboratory within Tartarus.

Ares's main body continued to observe Athena's actions through the monitoring device he had previously left in the starship.

He saw Athena's avatar enter the yusei starship through the breach, then transform into her original form. The golden-haired goddess, with her strong and slender legs, approached the fallen and dead Youxing Vanguard, trembling as she looked at it.

"Boros."

She said softly:

"I've finally seen you."

The Youxing Vanguard on the ground was dead, so it naturally didn't respond. However, the Goddess of Wisdom took out a metal syringe-like tool from her body. She used this tool to pierce the Youxing Vanguard's skin and extracted a certain substance from it.

Next, she used her spear to cut open the Youxing Vanguard's chest and abdomen, and then took out a small, blue, opaque Rubik's Cube from within.

She placed both the syringe and the Rubik's Cube on her person, then wielded her spear, casting runes that were inscribed on the inner walls of the stone chamber of this yusei starship.

After completing all of this, the Goddess of Wisdom hastily left. Seconds after she departed, the runes she had inscribed on the inner walls of the stone chamber suddenly transformed into powerful magic, erupting. Ares's monitoring lost its image at this moment, turning into a vast gray mist.

Ares turned off the monitor and fell into contemplation:

"What did she take from the Youxing Vanguard? Is that the 'Power of Hope' that she will put into Pandora's Box in the future?"

It now seemed that Athena had extracted some substance from the Youxing Vanguard and also taken something akin to its core. It was just unknown what the Goddess of Wisdom intended to do with these items.

However, what "Magic Graduate Student" Ares couldn't guess, "Magic Doctoral Supervisor" Hecate might be able to figure out. Therefore, Ares was not in a hurry. He would wait until Hecate had researched something from that core, and then he would ask Hecate that question.

He focused his attention on the clone that was accompanying Athena's clone. During this time, the two clones had unknowingly almost returned to Prometheus's residence.

After Ares shifted his attention, the two clones flew for a while longer, then once again landed in front of the Seer God's cave.
