Chapter 320 - Chapter 320 Athena in Power

Just as the War between the Olympus Gods and the Giants began in full swing, within the Underworld, two deities who had instigated this War but remained detached and unconcerned, were sitting on two small stools in front of a mirror, watching the great War being displayed in the mirror.

"Tsk, tsk."

When Hecate saw Hermes easily scared away by Enceladus, she took a sip of the magically squeezed juice in her cup, then remarked,

"The fact that such a fellow can be an Olympus main god, if this pantheon eventually falls, it seems to be quite reasonable."

"After all, he is also Zeus's son, and his slumbering staff was stolen by me. This fellow's combat ability is halved, so he can only rely on his flying shoes to wander the edges of the battlefield."

Ares glanced at the Moon Goddess beside him, suppressing the urge to move closer.

Although both were currently using avatars, under the catalytic of the arrow of love, they both still had the desire to get closer to each other. Therefore, even while watching the War of Olympus together, there was a subtle distance between Ares and Hecate.

Hydra acted as a buffer, standing between the two. She was currently pouting, listlessly massaging her master Hecate's legs.

The three continued to watch. When they saw Athena open the golden gate and release a large number of Minotaur warriors, Chimera, Cyclops, Medusa, and even a gigantic Hydra, Hydra's eyes widened in surprise. She pointed at the Hydra and asked,

"What is that thing?"

"Isn't that you? You silly Hydra, you can't even recognize yourself?"

Ares glanced at the snake maid and said,

"Staying here for too long, your intelligence seems to be getting lower and lower."

Hydra looked at the giant snake that was dominating the battlefield of gods and Giants, wreaking havoc, then lowered her head to look at the small dress and maid outfit she was wearing. Then, her eyes lost focus, and she murmured,

"I'm finished. Is this what my master called schizophrenia?"

"Slap!"

Hecate gave her a good-natured slap on the head and said,

"What are you thinking? That's a Hydra clone that Athena created using your blood and Wandering Star technology. Did you forget that she once chased you to the Underworld to draw a tube of blood from you?"

Hydra suddenly understood, saying, "Oh, it seems something like that did happen."

Then, she looked at Ares beside her with indignation and shouted, "You tricked me again!"

Ares ignored Hydra's protest. He looked at the scene in the mirror and continued,

"It seems that this time, the Snake-Footed Giants won't be able to take Olympus."

"There's no choice. The Gods are still the legitimate rulers between heaven and earth at the moment. Divine power and divine duties are still in their hands. Moreover, Athena also holds the technology she retrieved from a Youxing Vanguard."

Hecate also stared at the dense swarm of monsters and then said,

"However, this time, the Giants' actions have also forced out Athena's trump cards. Besides this monster army, the Goddess of Fate, and the Youxing Vanguard she has been secretly nurturing, she shouldn't have any other trump cards, right?"

"Theoretically, there shouldn't be any other trump cards, but we must still act cautiously. After all, if we take one wrong step next, we could both fall into an irreversible situation."

Ares said as he stood up. Hecate looked at him and asked,

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to make a show of it."

Ares said with his back to her,

"Next, after Olympus repels an offensive from the Snake-Footed Giants, Athena will definitely have Zeus issue an order, demanding that we main gods who are outside return to aid. I need to humor them."

...

Just as Ares had expected, on Olympus, the Olympus Gods, who had finally endured the attack of the Snake-Footed Giants, returned to the God Kings Hall behind Olympus's golden gate, and the few remaining main gods of Olympus also reassembled in the God Kings Hall.

At the beginning of the War, Olympus was guarded by four main gods: Athena, Zeus, Hermes, and Demeter. After the War, however, only three main gods returned to the God Kings Hall.

To protect the safety of the area around Olympus, Demeter had merged with the giant tree. Until the Giant crisis ended, she could not leave the giant tree and had to fully maintain its life. Otherwise, the giant tree would wither, and the Giant Race would not give her another chance to make the giant tree grow.

"In short, we have weathered this crisis."

The three gods stood around the altar where the twelve main gods usually held meetings, which was burning with the olympus holy fire. Then Athena spoke, saying,

"However, the Snake-Footed Giants will certainly continue to attack us. We must persevere."

"I'll leave all the arrangements to you, Athena. I'm a bit tired and need to rest for a while."

Zeus waved his hand wearily, then leaned his thunderbolt by his feet. Today, he had fought a fierce battle with Alcyoneus, the leader of the Giant Race. Although Alcyoneus seemed to be suppressed by him, he was also very exhausted.

If Demeter had planted the tree any later, Zeus might not have been able to hold on, and the outcome of his battle with Alcyoneus would have been reversed.

"Mm."

After subtly taking over the command of all Olympus Gods from Zeus, Athena said nonchalantly,

"Actually, there is still a significant gap between our hard power and that of the Giants. They seemed to retreat today, but none of the strongest thirteen Giants died, and not many of their ordinary Giants were sealed. They still retain very abundant combat power. To cope with the upcoming battles, we must recall the main gods who are outside. Hermes, this task must be given to you."

"I'll go right away!"

Hermes was quick to adapt to the situation. He knew that Zeus's luck seemed to be off, so he immediately began to pledge his loyalty to his sister, who now held great power.

"I'll be back in half a day at most!"

Seeing him immediately prepare to leave the God Kings Hall, Athena instructed him again,

"Oh, and remember to go to the Underworld. Ares and Aphrodite should be there now. If you use Aphrodite as an excuse, Hecate should let you in. It would be best if you could find out Hades's whereabouts. If not, just bring Aphrodite back directly."

Hermes nodded, then turned and walked out of the God Kings Hall, put on his flying shoes, and then flew rapidly towards the sky outside the mountain.
