After speaking, Fu Lengyu lightly pinched her chest in front of everyone, and the joking gesture made Mrs. Terri's group laugh knowingly.
They never mentioned arranging beautiful women for him again. An Ran, who was used as a shield, could only endure the humiliation and be held in his arms like a toy.
As the night fell, the colorful nightlife officially began. In the Huckleberry Bar, the deafening electronic DJ sound, the colorful spotlights, and the fashionable handsome men and women dancing together formed a scene of drunkenness and chaos.
Although they had reserved a private room in advance, Anteand his group obviously preferred to enjoy the lively and indulgent atmosphere in the hall. "Mr. Fu, why don't we have some fun here now and go to the private room later when we've had enough? What do you think?" Ante asked, looking at the strippers in revealing clothes dancing in the dance floor.
Fu Lengyu didn't care, and they sat down on the sofa in the corner next to the bar. When ordering drinks, Fu Lengyu ordered a "Merlot" for An Ran. This wine had a low alcohol content, and An Ran was very grateful for Fu Lengyu's thoughtfulness. However, she later found out that it wasn't thoughtfulness, but rather a habit he had developed when he used to go out and play with Lin Ranyu.
Ante also said with a smile, "How can you get drunk with just a little wine? Let's have a shot of the ultimate strong liquor. How can we have fun without getting drunk?" He then ordered a drink with a very high alcohol content for An Ran.
An Ran sat next to Fu Lengyu, her smile almost unable to hold up. She looked at him with a pleading look, but Fu Lengyu completely ignored her and lazily chatted with Terri. An Ran realized that he wouldn't help her at all, so she had to try to refuse: "I'm sorry, I don't like strong liquor. If I drink it, I will feel uncomfortable..."
The bartender brought the drink over and Ante placed the glass of strong liquor he had just ordered for An Ran on the low table in front of her. He spoke slowly, "I shouldn't have embarrassed you earlier. I thought you were trying toseduce me, but I may have misunderstood. So, this drink is my way of apologizing. If you don't drink it, does that mean you don't accept my apology?"
Mrs. Terri chimed in, "Yes, for the sake of Mr. Fu's face, we won't hold it against you anymore. An, just have a drink and give us some face, okay?" An Ran was so angry that her face turned red. How could they be so outrageous? They were the ones who were wrong, but they turned it around and accused her. And now, they were taking advantage of her by forcing her to drink?
Without thinking, she was about to refuse firmly.
But Fu Lengyu's cold eyes cut her off, "Since that's the case, then you should drink it!"
His cold voice was intimidating and irresistible in the noisy bar. An Ran bit her lip until it turned white. She forced a smile uglier than crying, picked up the glass of strong liquor, and drank it all in one gulp.
She held up the empty glass in front of Fu Lengyu and asked with a hollow look and a numb smile, "Satisfied?"
Fu Lengyu nodded indifferently.
Mrs. Terri applauded enthusiastically and patted An Ran's shoulder, "I didn't expect you to be so bold. You're amazing, amazing!"As she spoke, Mrs. Terri poured several more glasses of liquor for her, "Since you drink so well, come on, drink with me! We won't stop until we're drunk!"
Ante ordered his favorite drink skillfully and said to the others, "Everyone, we must not leave until we're drunk tonight!"
Fu Lengyu watched An Ran being forced to drink, saw her obvious discomfort, but still forced a smile. An Ran was half-drunk and half-awake, leaning on his shoulder, and whispered, "I'm obedient now. You asked me to drink, and I drank. Can you... let me see my mother?"
Fu Lengyu looked at her with his deep, cold eyes, as always, indifferent. Even his words were ruthless, "If you can outdrink them, then I'll agree to your request."
"This is impossible..." An Ran, who was half drunk and half awake, instantly sobered up upon hearing these words. Ante could tell from his drinking mannerisms that he was a drunkard. And as for Lady Terri, her enjoyment of alcohol was clearly not an act. How could An Ran, who never drank, possibly outdrink them?
Fu Lengyu smiled mercilessly, his eyes watching An Ran struggle as if he were a clown performing a farce. "You can choose not to drink. I won't force you, because the choice is in your hands, isn't it?" Fu Lengyu said with a faint smile. As An Ran's bloodshot face gradually faded, he felt a bitter and uncontrollable sense of revenge.
Without much hesitation, An Ran lifted his head, his eyes filled with resolute determination. "Alright, I'll drink!"
Their conversation was quiet and in Mandarin, and Ante and Lady Terri didn't quite understand. An Ran, suppressing his trembling heart, gathered his courage and said to them, "Both of you have such good drinking skills, and I happen to want to drink. Why don't we compete to see whose drinking skills are better?
Ante's eyes lit up, and he looked at the already slightly drunk An Ran with great interest. "How could your drinking skills possibly be better than mine?"
"Whether they are or not, we'll find out if we have a drink-off!" An Ran called over the bartender and ordered several bottles of liquor. "Whoever falls first or admits defeat first loses the competition! And the loser will receive three slaps in the face. How about that?"
