The Eyes of Hades is a genius card, Trevor thought silently to himself.
He could now clearly see the heat maps on Levi's body, but this time he wasn't looking with perverted eyes.
This time, he looked with the eyes of war.
So these must be his weakest areas in combat, Trevor reasoned.
"Enough," Mr. Alex said as he gestured for Levi to leave the stage.
Just as Levi rested his wooden sword on his shoulder, ready to walk off the stage, Trevor suddenly stood up and charged at him with blazing speed, sword raised high.
Luckily for Levi, he caught sight of Trevor from the corner of his eyes and immediately turned to block the strike.
But Trevor knew one thing: he couldn't afford to stop the pressure. Levi's essence was speed—if Trevor gave him even the slightest opening, it would be over.
With that thought in mind, Trevor kept attacking relentlessly. Blow after blow rained down, his strikes carrying more weight each time, while Levi defended furiously.
"How on earth did he get this good?" Levi thought silently, anger rising in his chest.
Still, Levi remained confident. All he needed was the smallest gap—one opportunity—and his speed would finish Trevor off in an instant.
He began defending more aggressively, waiting for Trevor to slip. But Trevor's intensity only grew sharper, his attacks faster.
And then, just as panic began to flicker across Levi's face, disaster struck—Trevor's wooden sword snapped in two and fell to the ground.
Levi smiled calmly, raising his own sword, ready to deliver the final blow. But before he could strike, Mr. Alex's voice thundered through the hall.
"One more hit from either of you, and it's detention. Do you understand me?" His tone carried pure authority.
Trevor exhaled deeply, sat down, and bent to tie his shoelace, which had snapped during the fight.
The spectators were stunned. They hadn't expected Trevor to stand toe-to-toe with Levi, much less force him into defense.
In no time, whispers spread, and the news exploded—Trevor's boldness and sudden growth became the hottest topic in class.
As the combat hall cleared, students chatted in groups about what they had just witnessed. Some praised Trevor's "new strength," while others mocked Levi for being unable to dominate as usual.
While Trevor was still on the floor tying his shoes, a group of three girls approached him.
"Hi, Trevor. My name is Chloe," said the girl in the middle. It was obvious she was their leader—her posture and tone dripped with arrogance.
Trevor glanced up at her. She extended her hand for a shake.
Trevor stood and shook it. Chloe had striking pink hair, and nearly everything else about her matched: her bag, shoes, lipstick, even the details of her phone pouch.
Her school uniform was tight and short, showing off her curves. She was one of the most social—and most talked-about—girls in class.
"Well, these are Stepheny and Sophia," Chloe said casually, gesturing to the girls beside her.
Trevor gave them a quick look. They weren't particularly special; it seemed their entire role was to ride on Chloe's influence.
The combat hall still buzzed with activity. Students were either packing their things or gossiping about the fight.
"Well, nice to meet you and your friends," Trevor said politely, shaking the others' hands.
"You really have good skills—I must compliment you," Chloe said, though her voice carried the same nonchalant arrogance, as if she were doing him a favor by acknowledging him.
Trevor, meanwhile, activated the Eyes of Hades and studied her. Immediately, he saw it—Chloe had more red heat marks than her friends.
She was the horniest of the three. Perhaps all her arrogance was just a mask.
"Well, I'd like to be your friend. Here's my number—call me whenever you're free, and we'll have coffee together."
Chloe handed him a small card, then turned and walked away as though giving an order.
Trevor smirked. Who does she think she is? Still, he couldn't hide his satisfaction. This was Chloe Miles—arguably the most popular girl in class.
For Trevor, this was a ticket to boosting his reputation.
Despite her arrogance, Chloe had never been in a relationship—protected and spoiled by her wealthy father.
That made this opportunity even sweeter.
Trevor tucked the card into his pocket, knowing full well the walls had ears. And he wasn't wrong—already, eyes around the hall were on him.
When he checked his phone, the class group chat was flooded with messages.
"Trevor is really lucky—he had two lucky moments today!"
"Wow, Trevor should count himself blessed. First he holds his own against Levi, and now the queen herself gives him her number? He doesn't even deserve it. He is just lucky"
"You guys call that luck? He held Levi back—one of the strongest in our class. That's not luck, that's strength."
"Levi's essence is speed. Don't forget, he's not just fast—he's insanely fast. Trevor holding him back was no small thing."
"Your definition of luck is disgusting. Only those with a strong essence can understand true strength—not weaklings like you."
The chat was in chaos, but all the attention revolved around Trevor.
A bright smile spread across his face as he set the phone aside and packed his bag. They're arguing over me… that means I'm finally worth their time.
Yes, the hate comments stung, but Trevor pushed them aside. Everyone has haters. What mattered was that he was being noticed.
After packing up, Trevor left the combat hall and walked through the school gates.
Just as he was about to head home, he felt a light tap on his shoulder from behind.
Trevor instantly turned to see who had touched him, and to his surprise, he found Caroline standing before him.
His heart skipped a beat—was she here to complain or maybe pick a fight with him because of the incident in class?
Trevor had actually been thinking of using Caroline to complete his mission, but he knew he needed to build it up little by little. At least he still had two days.
But with Caroline's sudden appearance, he was nervous.
Caroline had been his crush for some time during his early days before he met Lisa, so he still felt a few butterflies whenever she was around.
"Umm… sorry for stopping you," Caroline said softly. "I was just wondering… umm… if maybe we could be friends."
Caroline said, her face downcast, unable to meet his eyes as she nervously circled her feet on the floor.
