Adrian sat in a lounge,. His face was calm, but his eyes were sharp and filled with plans. A few of his men stood in front of him, waiting for him to speak.
The smell of smoke filled the air from the cigar burning slowly between his fingers.
One of the men finally spoke. "Sir, we found out that the girl… Elena, she's still living with Damian Volkov."
Adrian leaned back in his chair, raising an eyebrow. "Still?"
"Yes, boss. It's been a while now."
Adrian gave a small, thoughtful smile.
"Damian Volkov doesn't keep women for long," he said slowly, almost to himself.
"He uses them, dumps them then moves on forgetting their names.
If she's still there, that means…" He paused, tapping the cigar against the ashtray. "He must feel something for her."
The men looked at each other, unsure if they should respond. Adrian stood up and walked to the window, staring out at the glowing skyline.
