The woman's weak voice broke the silence.
"Please sir, I need to see my niece. She will be really worried."
Damian still kept a cold look. "You will. She's fine. But first the doctors have to make sure you are fully stable."
Maria gave a faint nod, but her eyes still searched his face for truth.
Just then, his phone rang. The caller ID flashed Viktor.
