Tatiana stepped out of the mansion, squinting against the afternoon light.
She spotted Andrei standing near the black SUV. The man looked carved from stone—hands behind his back, eyes scanning the driveway, face unreadable.
Perfect, she thought, smoothing her dress. Let the games begin.
She took a deep breath, then marched right up to him, her eyes already glistening with fake tears.
"Andrei!" she cried dramatically. "Oh, thank God you're here!"
The poor man blinked, confused. "Miss Tatiana? What's wrong?"
"My boyfriend!" she wailed, clutching her chest. "He cheated on me! With my best friend!"
Andrei's brows furrowed. He clearly didn't know how to respond.
"Uh… I'm sorry to hear that, ma'am, but I can't—"
"You have to come with me!" she interrupted, sniffing loudly for effect. "Please, Andrei, you're the only one I can trust right now!"
