Chapter 154 - Chapter 154: Tang Hao Causes a Ruckus in the Killing City

Chapter 154: Tang Hao Causes a Ruckus in the Killing City

Soon, under Tang Hao's guidance, Tang San arrived at a very eerie little town.

When the two of them arrived at the tavern in the center of the town, the scene felt very unusual. Aside from the waitstaff, there were only a few individuals who looked extremely menacing.

Tang Hao ordered two Bloody Marys, and the waitstaff quickly brought them over.

Tang San, having never been exposed to much killing or bloodshed growing up, immediately vomited upon tasting the Bloody Mary. After all, what normal person would drink human blood? His reaction was met with a round of mocking laughter.

But before Tang San could kill the people mocking him, the waitstaff spoke up first.

"Sir, if you're planning to go to the Killing City, I can guarantee that all of you will be able to enter. However, the Killing City is extremely dangerous, and you must think it over carefully."

After hearing the waitstaff's words, Tang San, despite his disdain for the group of people around him, holding the thought that they were courting death, restrained himself and decided to follow the waitstaff's advice.

Tang Hao, however, was extremely confused. It had never been easy to enter the Killing City before. Why did it feel so strange now?

Originally, Tang Hao had intended to have Tang San enter the Killing City for training, but after feeling that something was off, he decided to secretly follow Tang San and his group into the Killing City.

Once they entered the Killing City, Tang Hao was extremely surprised.

The outer city of the Killing City had indeed not changed. It was still full of people wasting their days, awaiting death. For those who had to offer two Bloody Marys every month, it was no different than waiting to die.

However, the inner city felt odd. Originally, the inner city was home to tens of thousands of people, but now it seemed bleak. The whole area likely didn't even have a few thousand people left.

Especially when Tang Hao arrived at the Hell Killing Field, the bloodthirsty aura in the air was eerily familiar. Even the entire arena seemed to be emitting a stinging smell of blood, and the stands appeared to be stained with blood.

Tang Hao, being the Killing God who had once walked the Hell Road, knew exactly what this meant. Such an atmosphere only appeared when a hundred victories had been achieved in the Hell Killing Field.

Without further ado, Tang Hao went straight to the King of Slaughter.

The King of Slaughter seemed puzzled. "Killing God, what brings you back to the Killing City today? Did you get chased so badly outside that you want to retire here in the Killing City?"

"As long as you return to the Killing City, no one will ever be able to catch up with you. You'll be completely safe here."

Tang Hao's face darkened. "King of Slaughter, I'm not here to chat with you. What's going on in the Killing City? Why are there so few people here now?"

The King of Slaughter chuckled. "Isn't it obvious? You should have experience in this regard."

Tang Hao gritted his teeth. "Has the Hell Road opened again, and has a new Killing God been born? But given the difficulty of the Killing City, there should be no one who can pass it easily."

The King of Slaughter nodded. "Indeed, as you guessed, after all these years, someone has entered the Hell Road again. But unfortunately, you're a bit late. That person has already been in the Hell Road for several days."

Tang Hao said, "So you've turned most of the people in the inner city into sacrifices to open the Hell Road, and you've lowered the standards for entering the Killing City recently. No wonder you can enter the Killing City without fighting, and even without drinking Bloody Marys."

The King of Slaughter smiled. "Among those who just entered the Killing City, one of them has a martial soul called the Clear Sky Hammer. It should be your son, right? Unfortunately, you're a bit late. Based on the current state of the Killing City, it seems like your son will need more time."

Hearing this, Tang Hao's face turned dark. Normally, if one participated in a hundred Hell Killing Field matches, just the killings alone would require at least nine hundred kills. Not to mention the large-scale battles that took place regularly.

When Tang Hao himself passed the Killing City trial, he had to kill at least ten thousand people, but now the entire inner city of the Killing City likely didn't even have a few thousand people left.

Now, with so few people, how could Tang San undergo the harsh training in the Killing City? Where would he find people to kill?

If Tang Hao had come to the Killing City earlier, his strength might have allowed him to stop the opening of the Hell Road. But now it was too late—the Killing City was nearly empty.

Tang Hao remained silent for a long time before speaking. "King of Slaughter, who exactly is the one who will receive the Killing God domain?"

The King of Slaughter replied, "That's confidential information regarding the Killing City. I'm afraid it's inconvenient for me to tell an outsider like you. Besides, this person hasn't necessarily completed the Hell Road yet. Even I don't know the full details."

Tang Hao's face darkened. "What do you mean by that? Normally, the Hell Road has a time limit. Could it be that this person can stay there indefinitely?"

The King of Slaughter shook his head. "The Hell Road is special. Even you and I can't easily go deep into it. I can only sense that this person is still in the Hell Road, but the trials haven't stopped."

Although Tang Hao was very confused, he didn't know what else to say.

After a long period of silent contemplation, Tang Hao finally spoke. "I'm taking my son out of here. Since there's no one left to train or test in the Killing City, there's no need for my son to stay."

The King of Slaughter snorted. "You're violating the rules of the Killing City. No one is allowed to leave the Killing City except those who've walked the Hell Road. Your son is no exception."

Tang Hao shouted angrily, "Do you think you can stop me?"

The King of Slaughter laughed wildly. "Killing God, don't think your reputation outside gives you the right to ignore me here. In the Killing City, I am the true ruler."

Tang Hao's face darkened. "Let's see if you have the strength to stop me."

With those words, Tang Hao prepared to quickly leave and head towards Tang San.

However, the King of Slaughter would not allow Tang Hao to act so recklessly. If word got out that someone could leave the Killing City at will, it would undermine his authority.

The King of Slaughter moved at incredible speed, and a blood-red long sword appeared in his hand. The sword was over two meters long and exuded a terrifying bloodthirsty aura.

Tang Hao's face changed. Although he had full confidence in his own strength, he could clearly sense the terrifying power of the sword, which seemed to even suppress his Killing God domain.

But Tang Hao showed no fear. With a flash, he brought out the black Clear Sky Hammer. The hammer was surrounded by a blood-red aura, with two yellow, two purple, four black, and one red soul rings appearing.

The King of Slaughter's blood-red long sword did not have any soul rings, as if it was completely unrelated to a martial soul.

When the Clear Sky Hammer and the blood-red long sword collided, both Tang Hao and the King of Slaughter were sent flying back several meters.

The power of Tang Hao's Clear Sky Hammer was even stronger than the King of Slaughter had imagined, and it was far more domineering.

But Tang Hao was also struggling. The Clear Sky Hammer seemed to have taken a heavy blow, and Tang Hao's body also felt as though it had been struck hard.

The two of them showed no signs of backing down as they quickly rushed toward each other. The Clear Sky Hammer and the blood-red long sword collided again, causing the entire Killing City to shake.

After countless exchanges of attacks, Tang Hao used his seventh soul skill, the True Body of the Weapon Soul, and with all his strength, struck a heavy blow. It seemed as if the entire Hell Killing Field was about to collapse.

Before the King of Slaughter could react, Tang Hao had already retreated quickly.

Tang San, who had been preparing for his own training, suddenly felt darkness cloud his vision and lost consciousness in an instant.

Tang Hao immediately grabbed Tang San and left the Killing City. Although the King of Slaughter was unwilling, he ultimately gave up the chase.

Given the strength of both of them, it was difficult to determine a winner in such a short time. Tang Hao, as the Killing God, could use his soul skills in the Killing City, while the King of Slaughter could not. In comparison, he was at a disadvantage.

However, the King of Slaughter looked extremely malicious. "Tang Hao, remember this. The Killing City will never welcome people from the Clear Sky Sect again. If anyone dares to enter, I will make sure you have no place to die."

After leaving the Killing City, Tang Hao and Tang San finally found a clear area. Once Tang San was set down, Tang Hao spat out a mouthful of blood.

Tang Hao had been injured, and after fighting the King of Slaughter, his body couldn't take much more.

Especially with the King of Slaughter's terrifying strength and the razor-sharp blood-red long sword, even the Clear Sky Hammer was unable to fully resist. After battling the King of Slaughter, Tang Hao was severely wounded.

But Tang Hao knew there was no other choice. If he hadn't brought Tang San to the Killing City, it would have taken Tang San five to seven years to obtain the Killing God domain, wasting precious time for his training.

After a while, Tang San slowly regained consciousness, but upon seeing his surroundings, he was puzzled.

"Father, wasn't I in the Killing City? How did we end up here?"

Tang Hao shook his head. "Xiao San, something major has happened in the Killing City. A new Killing God has emerged there, and at least seventy percent of the fallen there are dead or injured. The remaining people can't provide the kind of training you need. So, rather than wasting time in the Killing City, we'll focus on other forms of training."

Tang San, fully trusting his father, immediately said, "Thank you, Father, for your arrangements. I will train hard."

However, after observing carefully, Tang San noticed that Tang Hao seemed to be in worse condition than before. Tang Hao was a Title Douluo, and there shouldn't be anyone in the world who could harm him.

Tang San quickly grabbed Tang Hao's hand and instantly felt the extent of his injuries. His face changed dramatically. "Father, how badly are you hurt? Who did this to you?"

Tang Hao shook his head. "Don't worry about it. These are old injuries, I've gotten used to them."

Tang San's eyes turned red, and he immediately knelt down. "Father, you must take care of your health! Don't overwork yourself, and don't fight with others easily. You're the only family I have left. If something happens to you, what should I do?"

Tang Hao sighed. "Xiao San, I'm really fine. The Killing City can no longer provide you with the training you need. I plan to rearrange and plan your training from here on out. The danger will be no less than that in the Killing City, so prepare yourself mentally."
