POV: ???
As I look at the being in front of me I couldn't help but audibly gulp. Up close he is like a giant, peering at me from above like I was some ant. It visibly unsettled me. However, I tried to reign in my emotions, and tried my best to look up at the giant's face, however I tried to look anywhere but those eyes, his eyes, were like two burning suns, piercing and unyielding.
Then, after what felt like eternity, but was actually merely a second or two the man himself spoke for the first time, and what he said unsettled me. "You have her eyes..." He said with almost a slight sadness in his tone. Wait, I thought, he is on about my...mother? How does he know I have her eyes? Wait... unless.... no way this is my father?!!
I now look directly into his golden eyes, as before I was too scared to be so direct, however, after the revelation I just unearthed, I had gained some surging confidence, and what met me was a sadness that flickered through them, the once strong, pointed, piercing eyes from moments ago, were now almost dimmed.
However, as quick as that happened it stopped and they returned to their usual fiery intensity. Although, this time they seemed to burn not with the same type of intensity as before but with an unfiltered raw anger!
Suddenly, the man turned around and a ripple of aura flared around him shaking the very foundations of the building as he looked directly at the head of this hell and his cronies, I mean 'carers.'
Then, the man shouted "WHO DARED TO LAY A FINGER ON MY DAUGHTER?!" The very walls started to break apart just from his shout alone, the windows that were already cracked and partially broken, missing pieces here and there, shattered instantly, the people congregating outside scattered like scared birds. However, weirdly enough I was fine, maybe he protected me, I thought? As I thought that, I looked down and saw a golden magical force, surrounding me. Magic! Is this some kind of shield spell? I was broken out of my momentary surprise at seeing magic up close for the first time, when I heard shouting.
The head of this hell and the 'carers' fell to the ground crying out in pain as they tried to explain, horribly I might add. However, what the man said next was like a judgment from the heavens themselves "Forget it, I will just crush you all right now and be done with it, you are all guilty."
Then, the head of this hell himself and the 'carers' were slowly but surely, crushed under the immense pressure of this being, no my... father? I watched as they screamed in agony as their bones popped out of their joints, and organs ruptured while their eyes slowly popped out of their sockets. It was a gruesome scene for anyone let alone a child, but I was not so naïve as to be scared of this kind of brutality, not after what I have seen and suffered. I was actually happy to see these bad people get the punishment they deserved.
Finally, after a few more minutes of this torment, my father ended their existence with a mere thought. Afterwards, I looked around the room as I saw that blood, guts and bone fragments now littered the room covering the cracks on the walls, well the walls that were left standing after all that.
The other children had already climbed through the windows and ran out of the front door while this was going on, obviously scared of this event.
My father then turned slowly and approached me, deactivating the magic shield, however this time, he knelt down to be eye level with me and gently moved the fringe of my unkept hair from my face before saying "I'm sorry, for what you had to endure. I did not know you existed until just a moment ago when I sensed the blood resonance"
There was a hint of melancholy in his eyes like he was revisiting some previous, depressing memory, however, it passed by quickly. He continued "I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you" I had started to zone out halfway through what he said, the suppressed emotion burst out of me as I shouted "Father! Please never leave me, please always love me!"
As I jumped into his body, It seemed he was a bit caught off guard by my outburst he seemed to stiffen, then slowly but surely wrapped his large hands and arms around me as he whispered "You will never be alone again, that I will promise you" I cried and let out all my bottled emotion for many minutes until I slowly lost consciousness from the emotional overexertion.
POV: Kyros
I felt her fall asleep in my arms as I held her there. What a weird feeling I am experiencing, it is like non other I have felt, well maybe since her.... Anyway, I guess I have a daughter, what a cruel twist of fate this is. I am not a role model nor a good father figure to have, she knew that, probably why she never told me about this... unexpected pregnancy. *Sigh* that was the first time I have generally lost my temper in years. I look down at the little scrawny figure still wrapped in my arms, what are you already turning me into you little urchin?
As I laugh to myself, I stand up and hold her in my arms as gently as I can, I feel like I might accidently crush her, she is so small, so fragile, I want to protect her, I want to try and be a good father to her and I want to give her the life I never had.
I also want something more to my life other than just, power. I hate the fact that she had to experience this, oh the irony of fate, I sigh.
I shake my head as I go to open a portal, then I realise I don't even know her name, I'm guessing her mother chose one for her? Oh well, I will ask her when she awakens. I then wave my free hand, reality shatters yet again, and within a moment I was gone.
