Chapter 88 - Girls? I'm Going to Be a Pokémon Master! [88]

"Why are there so many messages…?"

Fresh out of the bath, Satoshi frowned at his phone in dismay.

He'd planned to test out the new moves Rillaboom had learned—but that was impossible now.

His phone was overflowing with missed calls and unread messages. Earlier, he'd turned it off to focus on stopping Team Rocket's scheme, but now he had to go through every message one by one.

His family, Sakiko, his teammates… there were even people saying they wanted to come over.

And his family kept insisting he head to the hospital immediately.

I didn't even get injured, did I? A little Rough Skin from Garchomp isn't gonna kill me.

Satoshi shrugged it off.

Meanwhile, the MYGO group chat was exploding—even Raana, who was usually pretty carefree, was typing nonstop.

Since they were teammates—and with Tomori and Anon both worrying about him—they'd all decided to stay over to check on him.

Faced with that, Satoshi's reply was naturally—

[Satoshi]:No problem!

[Satoshi]:My place is huge!

[Satoshi]:Come quick, let's have some Pokémon battles~~ We can make it a Pokémon party!

With six people, there wouldn't be any issue. Worst case, they could all sleep in the training room. Space wasn't a problem at all.

Everyone together, chatting and battling late into the night—it actually sounded fun. Doing one-on-one matches every day had gotten kind of dull lately.

So how did it turn into this…?

Only Nagasaki Soyo sat on the sofa, sulking in silence.

Her private evening alone with Satoshi had evaporated before it even began.

If only she hadn't wasted time licking his clothes earlier, maybe she could've prevented this. She'd gotten careless.

It's all Flabébé's fault!

"Good evening, Anon-chan. Welcome to my home."

"...Soyo-san, this isn't your home. And I'm here to see Satoshi."

With no choice, Soyo greeted Anon at the door with the gentle smile of a dutiful wife.

Anon's expression darkened instantly. She hadn't seen Satoshi for one day—and suddenly his house was Soyo's home?

Believe it or not, I, Chihaya Anon, could send out my Sylveon right now and wipe out your Hydreigon.

A Fairy-type move against a Dark/Dragon? Four times damage. Instant knockout.

"Hm? What are you saying, Anon-chan? If this isn't my home, whose could it be?" Soyo tilted her head with feigned innocence. Her gentle look only made Anon's fists tighten as she fought the urge to hit her.

Right now, Satoshi was sparring with Raana in the training room, so naturally, his future wife was the one handling greetings—or so Soyo told herself.

Anon, on the other hand, felt like she was arguing with a brick wall. Or worse, a charging Tauros. She gave up and stepped inside.

"Forget it, I'll just go in myself."

"Oh, Anon-chan, let me show you the way my husband—ah, I mean, Satoshi—is training right over there~"

Soyo's smug tone nearly made Anon snap.

Nagasaki Soyo, you're really asking for it.

Anon took a deep breath, forcing herself to stay calm.

Still… that fake, sugary-sweet face of hers—never again would she trust it.

"Torracat, [Fire Fang]!"

"Combusken, [Detect]—then [Double Kick]!"

Inside the training room, Combusken's eyes sharpened. It dodged the fiery bite cleanly, then landed two swift kicks to Torracat's stomach, sending it flying.

[Detect]:Avoids the opponent's move completely, though using it repeatedly makes it more likely to fail.

In the games, it worked like Protect—but in real life, Detect relied on reading the opponent's movement, not summoning a green barrier.

It was riskier but offered more freedom, which suited Satoshi's fast, aggressive battle style perfectly.

Combining Detect with Combusken's speed, he'd dubbed the combo Quick Counter!

Wait… was that name already taken?

Fine, Quick Guard then.

…Hmm, that one sounds familiar too. Eh, whatever.

"Ohh~ Impressive~" Raana said, her mismatched eyes sparkling as she watched.

Their battle went on energetically as Anon and Soyo reached the door.

Originally, Soyo had considered locking Anon in the bathroom all night—but decided it'd cause too much trouble.

Besides…

Someone like Chihaya Anon isn't even worth my time.

She looked down on her completely.

A battle amateur like Anon could never compete.

After all, Satoshi's brain only thought about Pokémon battles!

"Satoshi~~!!"

Anon burst into the room, running straight into Satoshi's arms and hugging him tightly, her voice trembling.

"Are you hurt anywhere?"

Watching him fight Team Rocket earlier had nearly stopped her heart.

When she'd heard about Garchomp's Rough Skin, her panic had only grown.

"Anon, it's fine—see? Not a scratch."

Satoshi didn't pull away. He smiled gently, wrapping his arms around her in return.

He wasn't thinking about anything complicated. Having so many teammates who cared about him just made him happy.

[Sato-baby, can't you react a little? Maybe comment on how Anon's chest feels? Hmm? Wait—wow, Anon's a Steel-type! Her chest's like armor! Totally different from Soyo's mega-sized ones…]

[Sato-baby, just marry Soyo. Anon's not gonna have enough milk for the kids—she'll have to borrow from Miltank.]

What nonsense are you always talking about…?

Satoshi sighed.

Well, compared to Soyo, Anon's chest was smaller—by a little.

Not that it mattered. Honestly, neither could compare to an Incineroar's perfectly sculpted pecs. Those were the real aesthetic ideal.

Still, he had to admit—Soyo's hugs did feel softer.

Ahh… I really want to punch Anon-chan right now…

Nearby, Soyo clenched her fists silently.

Meanwhile, Raana tugged at Soyo's sleeve, shaking it insistently.

"Hey, Soyo-mama, I want matcha parfait~"

"I'm not your mom. Ask Rikki to buy you one—I'm not in the mood right now."

"But Rikki hasn't arrived yet~~~"
