While Miguel was busy playing to character, probably forgetting that he isn't the real Miguel of this world he suddenly realised how farsighted the original character was. He had so many bases in Neo-eden. But Neo-eden isn't restricted to only earth which means, they fame went across galaxies just like how the Trojans were making their own authority known throughout galaxies.
The main headquarters of Neo-eden is situated somewhere above the star called Procyon.
Procyon is a bright, white star located in the constellation Canis Minor. It's one of the closest stars to Earth, about 11.5 light-years away. Procyon is also notable for being part of the Winter Triangle asterism, along with Sirius and Betelgeuse. It's a binary star system, consisting of Procyon A (the main star) and Procyon B (a white dwarf companion).
So for Miguel to get to his headquarters, they had to travel a distance, 11.5 light-years from earth.
After circulating all of Neo-eden, Terrace finally positioned the spacecraft in such a way that made it easier to exit the earth's atmosphere.
It didn't take long and Miguel saw themselves coming out of a blue round planet.
They were now outer space as the spacecraft, prepared to take off as it's speed sequence changed.
Earlier the spacecraft moved with a speed of 876km/hour.
But as they left earth, this speed increased by a notch as the world blurred pass them. The four of them immediately set to work, knowing that space isn't a peaceful place.
"Alright, let's review the navigation charts. Devin, what's our current status on reaching the Procyon system?"
Devin kept a straight face as he concentrated on the chart. "We're on track, Commander. Our Alcubierre Warp Drive is functioning within optimal parameters. Estimated arrival time is 3.2 Earth years, barring any unforeseen course corrections."
Miguel stroke his chin for a while as he nodded in acknowledgement.
11.5 light-years is the distance between Earth and Procyon, measured in light-years (the distance light travels in one year). While 3.2 Earth years is the travel time estimated for the spacecraft to reach Procyon, taking into account the spacecraft's speed (thanks to the Alcubierre Warp Drive).
"Terrace, I've been analyzing the star's radiation patterns. We'll need to adjust our shielding to compensate for Procyon's increased ultraviolet output." Jace said with a strange expression on his face.
"Okay bro. I've run simulations on our magnetic field generators. A 15% increase in shielding capacity should suffice."
"Devin, implement the shielding adjustments. Jace, continue monitoring Procyon's radiation patterns. Let's minimize risks during our approach. Also, I thought there's a way to get rid of the procyon ultraviolet output?"
"Yes, boss but the method would be very dangerous. Adjusting shielding now." Devin said.
Miguel seemed to think about the ultraviolet output. But this is also one of the reason why the Trojons would attack other bases but skip this one. They did not have a strategy to bypass Procyon ultraviolet output so instead of endangering their lives, they better still seek out information from his other bases to get the strategy so that they can be able to fight their way to Procyon.
"I'll keep a close eye on the star's activity. This will be a valuable opportunity to study Procyon up close." Terrace said with an excited expression on his face however Miguel quickly poured ice cold water on him with his statement.
"Don't get too excited. Procyon isn't very easy to be discerned. Focus more on other tasks."
"Boss, I think we should also prepare for potential anomalies in the Procyon system. We don't know much about its planetary configuration." Jace said darkly.
"Valid point, Jace. Terrace, can you run some predictive models on potential planetary bodies?" Miguel said walking towards the man running the spacecraft with a keen focus.
"Already on it. I'll have preliminary results within the hour."
Miguel nodded…
He watched the spacecraft zoom with terrifying speed, cutting through space like paper.
