Pressing the muzzle of my gun against my cousin's forehead sends a thrill up my spine. He thought he could get away from me—fucking hilarious.

No one can get away from me.

"You don't deserve to lead the syndicate in the first place," Rian hisses, "but especially not now you're dicking down that Marchesi slut—"

I hit him across the face with the butt of my pistol, leaving a deep gash, "Say that again and see what happens."

Rian spits out a tooth and looks up at me from the floor, where he's bound in chains. He chuckles darkly, "You're nothing but a traitor. You might be grandpa's favorite, but even he's getting tired of your shit."

"You say that like it matters to me," I scoff. "Monte couldn't do anything to me if he tried."

"You're pissing all over our great aunt's grave," Rian growls at me. "Disemboweled on her wedding night by that Marchesi all those decades ago."
