Chapter 8 - Sister From Previous Life

Wold shifted before Leon's eyes.

The view of dark ceiling dissolved, changing into a tall, white concrete building, the sound of ambulance, and smell of smoky air.

People coming to and from the building and Leon stood outside of the main gate.

Even the clothes he was wearing were of the modern world. It was his High school uniform, a white collared shirt and black pants.

"It's the hospital from my first life!"

He looked down and saw a plaster on his his left leg.

"I came here for only once. If it's really... No, it must be some type of illusion! I saw that creature using it's ability on me before i came here."

Many thoughts and feelings that he had long buried in the back of his mind were coming back.

"Fuck this!"

He turned his back towards the hospital and started walking towards the road.

Flames started to seep out of his body, scaring the ordinary people who were near him. Plaster on his leg burned away.

Flames intensified more and started to spread around, making other people and things catch fire as well.

A family of young couple and their children, an old man, a young woman listening music with headphones, cars and bikes running on the road, everything caught fire.

Whole area got filled with burning and dying people's and their desperate screams.

"They are not real. They are just Manifestation of my memories. If i burn this whole thing, then i might break out of this illusion." Leon muttered, his voice cold and face emotionless.

Leon kept walking on the sidewalk without paying any attention to the people's screams.

*Crash*

As the fire reached the patrol of vehicles and some trucks of gas, with a *BOOM * They blasted and whole are became a sea of flames.

Wailings and screams were no more, only the sound of an intense fire crackling and consuming everything.

Flames kept intensifying and spreading far and wide, and Leon just kept walking, something taking turns on the charred earth, that was previously a city.

Citizens died, cities burned, Countries got destroyed. But there were still no signs of the illusion breaking.

A look of slight nervousness appeared on Leon's face.

His footsteps getting quicker and quicker, even he didn't realise the change in his pace.

Whole world was terrified, media and cameras captured the horrific scenes of his country.

People initially thought that it was just some ai made fake video, but as the news of more places burning came, with them came the calls of their relatives and friends who lived on Leon's continent.

Colour purple kept spreading on the continent, melting the snow covered hills, vaporising the rivers and forests.

Even wild animals weren't spared from the onslaught of [ Chaos Fire ].

Leon's breath quickend as his running speed got faster. But he didn't took anymore turns, since the obstacles in his path had already disappeared, burnt, consumed by the purple Chaos.

"WHY? Why isn't this illusion ending?" Leon screamed, his expression getting colder.

But there was something else as well in his eyes, a weak, flickering hope(?).

Whole continent had now became a land of nothingness.

Chaos fire now ready to consume the sea and the various species living inside it.

World leaders, tycoons, and common people, everyone had now fully understood; The purple death was coming to devour them.

Political leaders didn't waste any time and ran towards the space station. Many other rich people did the same.

Hoping to leave this planet and go in space. Whatever the cause of that apocalypse was, it couldn't chase them out of the planet, right?

After the [ Chaos Fire ] had devoured half of the sea and was about to vaporise the rest... It stopped. Not moving from it's place.

Common people who were watching everything live through news, waited for it to move again, but that didn't happened.

Leon was still running, and soon, an area untouched by his flames came into his view.

"Damn... I-I still came here." Leon muttered, his eyes looking straight, searching for something.

There were not any buildings around that area. Only an old, abandoned factory with High boundary wall surrounding it.

The old iron gates were locked. But the boundary wall was broken near the gate, having enough room for people to enter.

Leon didn't bother with the hole. He condensed purple fireball and threw it on the gate.

*BOOOM*

Gate blew away. Leon didn't slow down his pace, running straight inside the factory.

He got rid of any obstacle that could hinder him and finally reached the hall of the factory.

Leon looked in front of him, his hand combing through his balck hair, which were falling in front of his eyes.

"Hahahaha... This is... so fucking funny." Leon burst into a mad laughter, barely containing the anger rising inside him, as the image of a girl drenched in her own blood reflected in his eyes.

On the other side, the frozen fire once again moved on the seas. This time, with an intensity that could make it's previous performance seem dull.

*SWOOSH*

Just in few seconds, whole earth was surrounded inside the barrier of purple fire, not leaving any way for anyone to leave the planet.

The Chaos barrier got closer and closer to the surface, consuming the clouds and atmosphere in a blink of an eye.

People... No, the whole planet disappeared from the solar system, like... It had never been there.

But a small piece of earth remained, enclosed in [ Chaos Fire ].

Leon walked closer to the half-dead girl, his eyes holding a rare warmth in them, and his face a little softer than usual.

"Whoever that illusion making fucker is... He is not going to die an easy death."

He sat on the bloody and damp floor, near that girl.

She looked in her early twenties. Her hair black and slightly opened eyes were red. Her face was similar to Leon's.

She was still in her office clothes, which were now stained with blood and dirt.

Leon carefully lifted her head and placed it on his lap.

There were several bullet marks on her chest and stomach, blood flowing out of them ceaselessly.

Seeing them, Leon's body flinched a little.

"Ahh... I shouldn't have killed those fuckers." he said, his voice barely a whisper.
