Chapter 7: Self Training
Ank woke up early in the morning. After waking up, he saw the same ceiling that he had seen many times.
He stood up from the bed, moved outside the house, picked up a wooden stick, and started swinging.
Ank had not trained for eons; he did not remember many things about how to train.
But he did not lose confidence.
He started his training without any master.
After swinging for many hours, Ank started running all over the village to increase his stamina.
Many villagers noticed him and ignored him after seeing his status.
Some children also made fun of Ank by saying, "Look at the boy," one of the children said. "He is weak, even though I could beat him."
Another said in a mocking tone, "Yes, we can beat him very easily."
"Why is he so weak?" some villagers wondered while seeing Ank.
Many commented on him, and many insulted him, but he ignored all of them, focusing on gaining power back first.
After many hours of running, he returned to the house.
He saw that Maya was training with a sword, mastering basic sword techniques.
Ank thought of an idea and started watching Maya. He observed all her moves—how she controlled the sword, how she reacted quickly, how she maintained her posture.
Maya noticed someone was watching her.
When Maya's gaze shifted to Ank, who was watching her, she quickly moved toward him in a moment.
She quickly asked, "Why are you watching me like some stalker?"
When Ank heard this, he did not react and said calmly, "I was just watching your sword moves and wanted to learn how to use it."
"Oh, I see," said Maya, narrowing her eyes.
"Now that you've watched, leave me. I have to train. I am not someone who can lose to a seven-year-old boy," Maya commented while smiling.
Ank ignored her again, moved away, picked up a wooden stick, and started moving like Maya had earlier.
Maya was astounded for a moment upon seeing how Ank copied her moves easily.
After watching him for a moment, she picked up her wooden sword and started training.
She did not understand why he was wasting his time on training. He was very weak. He should give up on the idea of becoming strong and move on.
"I will ask him at dinner," she thought.
Ank sometimes watched her and copied her moves for himself.
At dinner time, Ank was sitting and eating food while Maya looked at him and said, "Why do you want to become strong?"
Ank was surprised by the question, but he immediately replied, "I want to become strong to protect myself and live in peace. I am very weak. That is why I want power—not for dominance but for peace."
Maya heard this and said, "From tomorrow morning, you can come with me and train with me.
If I am in the mood, I will teach you one or two sword moves, but I will tell you that it all depends on my mood, so I cannot guarantee you."
Ank nodded and said, "Thank you."
After dinner, Ank returned to his room and fell asleep immediately.

After waking up in the morning, he noticed the notifications.
"At least I am now stronger than yesterday. I have to keep doing this until the quest is unlocked."
Ank had at least one month before the system gave him quests to unseal his power.
He knew the quests would not be easy, so he had to build his body until the time came.
In the morning, he trained with Maya. Maya taught him some moves sometimes. In the afternoon, he ran around the village to increase his stamina. In the evening, he once again trained with the moves he had learned in the morning.
After dinner, he slept.
Old man Arthur watched Ank daily to see how he was improving, but he could not help him. He had limited time and did not want to waste it on helping someone over-prioritizing his family time with Maya.
Every morning, he saw the notifications.

One month passed, and now the quest was going to unlock in one hour.
He had been waiting for this moment for one month, and now the time had come.
After waiting for an hour, the quest was finally unlocked.
When Ank saw the quests, only one thing he could say:
"What the hell is this quest?"
