Chapter 47:Arthur death countdown 1
In battlefield corpses of stone plant soldiers spread everywhere .
The smell of blood was now mixed with air covering all the village .The village was half destroyed. Their colossal bodies towered over the shattered village, each step shaking the ground.
Ank gritted his teeth as he swung his sword, slicing through one of the smaller plant soldiers. His body broke in many pieces and then the green light that was glowing in the centre slowly diminished across the dirt, but for every monster he cut down, three more emerged from the nowhere ,this became an endless cycle for him.
Beside him, Arthur's blade danced like a streak of silver lightning. Even at his age, his movements were precise and merciless. Every swing cleaved through several enemies, his aura radiating calm authority.
For a brief moment, Ank felt hope. Maybe maybe with him, I can really do this.
But that hope shattered when the ground shook with a heavy thud.
A massive shadow fell over Ank. He turned just in time to see the Stone Plant Bodybuilder, its arms like tree trunks, its chest a fortress of bark and vines. With a roar that sounded like grinding rocks, it swung its fist.
The impact was instant.
"GUH !"
The punch landed squarely in Ank's chest, and his body was launched like a ragdoll. He flew through the air, smashing into the side of a mountain already weakened from a past battle. Stone crumbled, dust exploded, and Ank's vision blurred as pain exploded across his ribs.
The mountain groaned under the force of his impact, half of it collapsing.Ank was beneath the mountain ,he used his strength to come outside .
" Damn it " Ank coughed, clutching his chest as he struggled to stand. His body screamed at him to stay down, but he forced his shaking legs beneath him.
Before he could fully rise, another body crashed into him, Arthur, who had also been hurled across the battlefield. They collided with a sickening thud, and Ank found himself once again buried inside in dirt.
"Urgh, " Ank groaned.
Arthur gritted his teeth, pushing himself off the boy. "Stand, Ank. They won't stop."
But the monsters didn't give them time. The Bodybuilder and the massive Tank Plant Monster lumbered forward, their heavy steps shaking the ground like war drums. Both reached down, grabbed both Arthur and Ank once again, and threw them back toward the village.
The world spun as Ank and Arthur crashed into the ground, bouncing like broken dolls. The cycle repeated every time Ank stood, they were thrown again, their bodies slammed into dirt, rock, or rubble. Ank's bones screamed with every impact.
After the fifth time, Arthur finally collapsed. His chest heaved, his sword slipping from his fingers.
"Master!" Ank's voice cracked, his throat was dry from shouting.
He forced himself up once again, blood dripping down his face, his grip on the sword unsteady. He rushed the monsters again, but this time he changed direction. His eyes burned with desperation.
First the Tank if I don't stop that thing, the Bodybuilder will crush us both.
He dashed toward the Tank Plant Monster. Its body was a fortress of stone like bark, every strike of his blade bouncing off uselessly.
"Why won't you BREAK?!" Ank screamed as he slashed again and again, each swing weaker than the last.
The Tank responded with a single backhand swipe.
CRACK.
The blow sent Ank rolling across the ground. His body convulsed, ribs shattered.
An hour passed like this. An hour of punishment. An hour of Ank's body being crushed, thrown, broken. He tried everything dodges, feints, desperate slashes but every attempt ended the same way, his body slammed into the earth, his blood staining the battlefield.
Finally, Ank collapsed to his knees. His sword trembled in his grip, his breaths ragged. His vision blurred, frustration was burning in his eyes.
How are we supposed to fight like this? I can't even scratch them. I'm useless.. completely useless..
Ank is thinking of using a forbidden spell that he saved for stone Plant plant spearmen.
Arthur, still on the ground, looked at the monsters with grim eyes. His wrinkled face hardened, but deep within, there was a spark of resolve.
He had no choice.
"Mana Devour."
The world shifted.
A thunderous BOOM erupted, shaking the battlefield. From the explosion, Arthur rose. His old body stood tall, his silver hair whipping wildly as mana poured out of him like a storm. His very presence bent the air, distorting space with sheer power.
Ank's eyes widened.
"Master, what is this ?"
Arthur's aura was no longer that of an old man, it was a calamity given flesh. His body glowed with runes that burned his skin, each one a chain fueled by his very life.

He stumbled forward, trying to reach his master, but Arthur was already moving. With a single step, he blurred across the battlefield, his sword glowing with impossible energy.
The Tank Plant Monster raised its massive arms to block but Arthur's blade cut clean through them, severing the limbs like they were paper. The monster howled, sap spraying like blood.
