Chapter 2 - Ch 2 Superhero.

"So it wasn't just a coincidence."

The outskirts of Terrebonne Parish were a hellish sight.

Craters lay dormant within the ground, molten lava snaked across the surface, and the surrounding water bodies rippled with intensity, parting as a man, clad in black armor and a skull-like mask, spun the silver Trident within his grasp and pointed it at the sky.

A swirling mass of energy unseen by many gathered around him, commanding the waters to rise and flood the main gates.

" Ocean Master!"

Ren furrowed, observing as the crashing artificial tsunami crashed into the main gates and drowned the soldiers.

But he wasn't done as he retracted the Trident in a fluid spin, condescending the water into a ball of liquid, trapping the poor soldiers in.

Even Waller wasn't spared, and she frantically smashed into the liquid layers of her prison, desperate and drowning.

Mr. Terrific gliding in the air via his T-sphere unleashed a dozen more T-spheres on Luthor and his entourage, buying him enough time to aid the Waller and her team, but...

"Crash him."

Orm waved his Trident about, moulding the water under him to liquid hands that lunged at Mr T.

Meeting the dozens of hands head-on, Mr Terrific grinned and leaped over one. His T-sphere bore through the water without resistance and acted as a platform for him to land on after his jump.

"Worm!"

Orm clenched his fist, waving his Trident around like a wane, commanding the hydro hand to pursue the agile Hero, but.....

"Aren't you far from shore, fish Master?"

A scarlet blur zoomed past the water effortlessly, unarming the proud Atlantean and unleashing a barrage of lightning-fast punches into his chest.

Orm staggered, the water underneath him freed from his command and ready to devour him whole.

The Scarlet Speedster grabbed him by the Cape, flexed his leg muscles, and, right as his feet touched the water's surface, propelled himself forward like a bullet train, making a beeline towards solid ground.

A Sonic boom echoed around the vanity, and for a moment, everyone froze.

The fastest man alive had landed, and because of that, no one except his allies was allowed to move.

Up in the skies, three silhouettes descended with the grace of angels.

Superman, in his striking blue and red uniform, crossed his arms, a look of disapproval on his chiseled face.

Wonder Woman, her hair swaying against the wind, unraveled her golden lasso while the Green Martian.

His scarlet eyes, as scary as it was enigmatic, merely hovered over this hero, his face masked with a stoic expression.

"Big Blue is here."

"Fuck.... where the fuck is Metallo?"

Upon the mention of his name, the man, not of Steel but rather made of steel, bent his knees, straining his metallic joints before taking to the skies in a powerful leap.

Its kryptonite heart pulsed with power as it retracted its Steel arms back and attempted to take the man of steel down.

"Kal...."

Wonder Woman warned, and Superman took action as he flew towards Metollo.

"Hahah.... Superman have you...."

To his surprise, Superman blitzed past him without a second thought, Kryptonite might be his weakness, but it didn't matter if its effects didn't register before he left its area of effect.

"Shit.."

The robot's vocal cord strained as he was wrapped in the golden lasso of the beautiful Amazonian and spun around, only to be flung into the skies, where Wonder Woman followed in hot pursuit.

The shockwaves of their battle left holes in the cloud, and during that time, the green martian, whom have remained idle until now, landed in a sea of prisoners.

As they tried attacking him, he went intangible, allowing all the physical and energy-based attacks of his opponents to merely pass through him.

'He's a fucking Martian someone use fire...."

The one who dared to utter his weakness was punched in the face, the resulting impact sending him flying into the crowd, where they were all launched back like bowling pins.

The Martian Manhunter wasn't done as he resorted to his shape-shifting abilities and morphed two more pairs of arms underneath his original ones.

Moments later he began what many might describe as a friendly slaughter.

He didn't kill but he wasn't merciful either.

The Martian was a mind reader, he could project the thoughts or memories of others into his own mind, and because of that, he knew of the slaughter that had befell the soldiers within the prison.

Of course, not all of the prisoners had killed in their escape, but he couldn't afford to be soft.

Many of those he was fighting had far suppressed what might be described as an ordinary crook.

These were villains... superpowered villains, and he dealt with them as such.

Exercising his Superman-grade strength, the bald martion darted around like a phantom, his six arms ceasing the necks and heads of his target, where he would ensnare them in a powerful grip and either choke them to the verge of passing out to slam them against the ground when he was confident they could handle the impact.

While the Martian handled the crowd control, Superman, his fist, pushed forward, tore through the sound barrier, and attempted to grab a hold of Lex Luthor.

"Handle him."

As he commanded, Livewire burst out of his gauntlet and clashed with the man of steel.

"I don't have time for your games, Leslie!"

Overlapping his first together, Superman swung it upwards, trying to fend off the elusive lady of lightning.

With speed comparable to the Flash himself, Livewire's body dissolved into streaks of lightning, each slamming into the Man of Steel and launching him back.

He spun in the air and crashed into the ground, leaving a crater in his wake.

After all that, Superman merely stood up and shrugged, not an ounce of scratch on his body or even his suit.

Dusting off the grains of sand, he drew in a mouthful of air and unleashed a powerful blizzard at Livewire.

It was concentrated enough that it would only incase her, but she lurched to the side.

Thinking she had escaped, she grinned only to bump into Superman, who had circled around her during her dodge.

"Huh?"

She flinched, shocked by his display of speed, but the Man of Steel didn't give her a chance to even escape. He grabbed her by the hand and delivered a precise neck chop that knocked her out.

"Luthor!"

Catching and binding her limbs with ice restraints, Superman, his eyes glowing a shade of red, turned to Lex Luthor, who remained unfazed by his threatening glare.
