After several days had passed, I found myself still replaying those pages in my mind: every sentence about the levels of power, the six eyes, the ruler whose arrival is awaited, and the conflict that destroyed Nazaria.
I never expected that Nazaria wasn't just a name… but an entire island. How foolish I was!
Who is this awaited ruler? And why are my parents hiding all of this from me?
I sighed deeply, then muttered:
"My father's books don't contain much information… I won't know anything unless he tells me."
At that moment, I felt Noura's gaze piercing through me. She stared at me for a few seconds, then quickly sat beside me and whispered in a trembling voice:
"Nariman… what did Dad do that day? It was like he was moving the earth! Do you know anything? I couldn't stay silent… my father warned me not to talk about it."
I looked at her silently for a moment, then said coldly:
"We won't talk about that."
But Noura grabbed my arm tightly and shook me nervously:
"I know you saw it like I did, and I know you understand! So please, tell me… I swear I won't tell anyone."
I sighed slowly and whispered:
"I'll tell you… but if you tell anyone, I'll hit you and I won't speak to you again."
Noura nodded quickly, and I leaned closer, whispering:
"Father has the power to control rocks, shape them, and harden them."
Noura's eyes widened in astonishment as she said:
"That's amazing! I wish I had a power like his!"
I smiled lightly and said:
"I think you'll have it too… but only after you come of age."
Noura looked at me in surprise and asked:
"Why do you think that?"
I answered calmly:
"Because my mother and I also have powers."
Her eyes widened again in astonishment as she said:
"You're joking!"
I smiled and whispered:
"My mother has the power of lightning, and I have two abilities: reflection and nullification."
Noura interrupted me quickly, speaking eagerly:
"Show me!"
I was startled and said:
"What?"
She replied stubbornly:
"Show me how you use them!"
I smiled mockingly and said:
"Do you want Dad to kill me?"
Noura laughed lightly, then whispered teasingly:
"Coward."
I shouted angrily:
"Stop!"
Noura repeated the word "coward" again, and I lunged at her in anger. A fight broke out between us immediately. I grabbed her hair tightly while she tried to grab mine in return, and our voices mixed with shouting and pulling.
Suddenly, the sounds of our screaming and breaking things echoed, and my father shouted from above, his voice fierce:
— "Stop immediately!"
We froze in our places, not daring to look at each other. Silence hung over the room, and we didn't speak for a while afterward.
When night came, I couldn't sleep. I lay on the bed, placing the pillow over my head, muttering bitterly:
— "My God… what have I done! How foolish I am…"
The next day, our father sent their daughter, Nariman, with Noura to return some of his belongings that he had forgotten at the farm. The farm was very far, about a half-hour walk, and no one lived nearby.
Nariman went without saying a word and paused a little distance away to pick some fruits, away from Noura. Suddenly, Noura noticed two men: one wearing a formal suit, the other looking wretched from his expression, approaching the farm.
At that moment, Nariman felt the presence of a nearby power user at the farm. She ran quickly, praying that no harm would come to Noura, her heart pounding violently, and her eyes tracking every movement around her.
Nariman reached Noura and saw her talking to the man in the suit. Noura quickly looked at her, then gestured and said:
— "She also has powers like you two!"
A wave of terror swept through Nariman's heart, and her pulse raced. She looked at the man in the suit, who was smiling at her with a sinister, cunning grin, and froze in place, unable to move.
The man in the suit approached slowly and confidently, his voice loud and commanding:
— "Under my authority… you will obey me!"
Nariman shivered in fear and replied hesitantly:
— "What authority? You have no authority over me!"
She pushed her hand forward, using her power, and reversed the earth's gravity to intensify it. Suddenly, the man and his companion fell to the ground, unable to move, while Noura screamed in shock and fear.
Nariman grabbed Noura's hand quickly, and they ran as fast as they could, trying to get as close to the house as possible, hoping their father would sense the power of the other user. They were panting and trembling from fear, each step heightening their tension and dread.
Nariman and Noura had never experienced anything like this before; they cried throughout the way, stumbling at times, and panting without pause.
At home, their father sensed the danger from the power user and rushed toward his daughters at top speed, his heart pumping adrenaline rapidly.
At the same time, the man, a power user, rose at a terrifying speed, carrying a very long sword. He jumped in an attempt to attack them with his blade before the father could reach them.
With skill and speed, the father placed a sturdy barrier between his daughters and the man's sword, preventing it from reaching them, while the threat loomed from all sides.
The man charged at the father at a terrifying pace, his long sword gleaming in the sunlight. Each step shook the ground beneath him. Dust rose, and the air whirled around them, while Nariman and Noura panted in horror, unable to believe what they were seeing.
The father raised his hand firmly, and rocks around him surged upward, forming a massive barrier between him and the sword. The sword struck the rocks; sparks flew, and the sound of impact reverberated through the area.
The man didn't stop and attacked again; his sword cut through the air as if the ground itself resisted the father. But the father continued controlling the earth, each movement making rocks collide with the sword, shattering and reshaping into new shields.
Nariman and Noura stood stunned, every stone flying, every rock crashing; the wind tugged at their hair. No blood was present, only raw power and intensity — a terrifying battle between power users.
With a sudden attack, the man aimed his sword directly at the father, but the father raised his hand, focusing all his strength into the barrier before the blade. The sword struck the barrier directly.
The barrier groaned under the pressure. A brief moment of silence followed, then intense heat began to rise from the rocks. The solid mass slowly melted, breaking apart and flowing as if it were wax under a scorching sun. The father stood rigid, anger and fear merging on his face, suddenly realizing that the power of the sword user wasn't in the sword itself… but in the ability to melt anything it touched.
The father yelled to himself:
— "What a nightmare… a top-tier power user!"
Nariman and Noura panicked, realizing that even with all their effort, nothing guaranteed continuous protection… their father had discovered an enemy beyond anything they had imagined.
