Chapter 118 - Chapter 118 Is Void Lord a figment of Bruce Wayne's imagination?

Bruce Wayne looked deeply at Selina.

It was obvious that she probably didn't know what the bracelet meant.

What its function was.

And even less how much trouble she had gotten herself into.

Perhaps she just regarded Samuel as one of those fat sheep she usually took advantage of?

"If you want money, name a price."

"This bracelet—believe me, it will bring you great trouble."

"Trouble that no one can help you with!"

Selina had carefully examined the bracelet before.

Besides its special material, it didn't seem to have anything special about it.

But the person in front of her was Bruce Wayne, the richest man in Gotham.

The fact that he could recognize this bracelet at a glance.

And was willing to exchange it for his deceased mother's necklace.

Shows that it must have a higher value.

Since it is priceless, it must be sold at the best price!

Selina hesitated and walked towards Bruce Wayne.

Saying as she walked: "This bracelet is really a gift from my boyfriend."

"But I chose it myself and didn't have time to tell him."

Bruce Wayne slightly curved his lips.

You could have just said you stole it.

"I can give it to you."

"But you must tell me what its secret is."

"And why it will bring me trouble."

"I can't lose it without knowing anything!"

Bruce Wayne said, "It belongs to the Void Lord, Samuel."

Void Lord?

What a bluffing name!

Selina subconsciously thought of her boyfriend.

Bah, what boyfriend, that just slipped out.

It was the fat sheep she had targeted this morning.

He is the Void Lord Samuel?

A fat sheep who doesn't even know he's been stolen from.

How can he have the nerve to call himself the Void Lord?

And he can be the big trouble that Bruce Wayne talks about?!

Selina secretly grumbled to herself.

Then looked up and showed Bruce Wayne a smile.

Aiming the sharp tip of her high heel at his calf.

And giving it a kick.

"Duang!"

Bruce Wayne gasped, staggering back and bending over.

Selina took the opportunity to jump onto the balcony.

Elegantly flipping backward and jumping down from the window.

Bruce Wayne chased to the window and looked down.

Only to see Selina, who had already landed, quickly tearing off her disguise.

In just a few seconds.

She transformed from a service maid into a socialite guest.

Wearing a pearl necklace and an elegant long dress.

Under the night sky.

Selina provocatively waved at Bruce Wayne.

Then quickly walked towards a car preparing to leave Wayne Manor.

Opened the rear door.

And got directly inside.

"Bang."

Selina, who had closed the car door, turned to look at the drunk councilman she had targeted long ago.

"Could you give me a ride—how is it you?!"

Before she could finish her opening line.

The confident Selina's eyes widened in surprise instantly!

At this moment.

The person sitting in the car was not the councilman at all.

But the Void Lord, Samuel, whom Bruce Wayne had mentioned!

Although Selina didn't know where the old and stupid drunk councilman had gone.

But—

This Void Lord, who even Bruce Wayne knew.

Might also be able to help her complete the upcoming transaction.

Thinking of this.

Selina gave Samuel a sweet smile.

Showing no embarrassment at all about being caught after stealing something.

"Hi, what a coincidence."

"Coincidence?"

Samuel chuckled, looking at her meaningfully.

"Aren't you going to explain?"

Selina blinked, saying with certainty.

"What you want isn't an explanation."

"What do I want?"

"Me!"

Selina pointed to herself, lies spilling out effortlessly.

"I didn't lie to you."

"I did run into trouble."

"But this trouble will be resolved very soon."

"If you don't believe me, you can come with me."

"Once the trouble is resolved, I'll be yours!"

Samuel looked at her with a half-smile.

Then turned and motioned for the driver to start the car.

Selina quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

And quickly told the driver the address.

Half an hour later.

The car stopped in front of a somewhat remote bar.

Samuel and Selina got out of the car and entered the bar.

Selina motioned for Samuel to find a place to sit and wait for her.

Then walked towards a man not far away and sat down across from him.

"You brought a companion?"

The man across the table slightly turned his head and glanced at Samuel.

Saying something with unclear meaning.

Selina smiled and said, "I like to bring a follower to help me open doors."

After speaking.

Selina produced a small paper bag from somewhere and handed it over.

"Right index fingerprint, no installments accepted."

The man took out the printed fingerprint from the paper bag.

Checked it.

And said with satisfaction, "Well done."

Selina looked around at the environment.

Watched the other party put away the paper bag.

And said with a light laugh, "Don't be impatient, handsome."

"Where's the thing I want?"

"Yes."

The man looked at her and expressionlessly raised his hand.

"Click!"

Someone locked the bar door.

And at the same time, a man in black came to Selina's side.

"I don't know what you're going to do with Mr. Wayne's fingerprint."

"But I guess you'll still need his thumbprint, right?"

"You're not very good at counting."

Selina smiled unhurriedly.

The fingerprint she had just given out only had four.

"I can count."

"Actually, I'm going to count to ten now."

The man across the table slowly began to speak.

And the man in black had already pulled out a gun and aimed it at Selina.

Selina's big eyes stared at the other party for a few seconds.

Then she compromised.

"Okay, I'll give it to you."

The thumbprint was hidden in her long, beautiful hair.

Handing over the fingerprint.

Selina whispered, "Giving me the item directly—would be easier!"

The other party shook his head and pulled out a gun.

"We can't leave any hidden dangers."

"So even if you're very beautiful."

"Even if you're dressed so beautifully."

"There's no exception."

"You seem to have forgotten."

"There's also my friend over there."

Selina smiled towards Samuel, who was looking over from the side.

And threatened the man across from her.

"His name is Samuel."

"And Bruce Wayne calls him the Void Lord."

The other party looked back at the unremarkable Samuel with some surprise.

He, who had been almost completely expressionless, finally showed emotion.

He scoffed, unable to resist mocking.

"The Void Lord?"

"Why don't you say Bruce Wayne calls him God?"

"I heard Bruce Wayne's mind seems a bit off."

"This name 'Void Lord', couldn't it be something he fantasized about?"

Selina was a little flustered.

She knew Bruce Wayne had been missing for eight years.

But she didn't know Bruce Wayne had mental problems!

Thinking carefully.

Samuel didn't seem to have said his name.

Nor did he say he was the Void Lord.

And he certainly didn't say he knew Bruce Wayne.

Originally, Selina thought Bruce Wayne might have been tricked by Samuel using the name Void Lord.

Thinking about it now.

The name Void Lord could very likely be Bruce Wayne's hallucination.

He might have heard or seen Samuel's name somewhere.

Seen Samuel's prayer beads.

And then put the name Void Lord onto Samuel!

Damn it!

Could she have been set up by Bruce Wayne?!
