Jay stretched, hair messy, slippers still on because she refused to wear real shoes on planes.

"They'll try to sabotage ACES first. Either defamation or misinformation."

Jay's pen stopped spinning.

"And if that doesn't work," she said softly, "they'll target Sec E."

Silence.

"They think we're weak," Michael muttered.

"Because they think the leagues are gone," Samuel added.

Jay looked up now, eyes sharp."They think that because they don't know anything."

THEIR BIGGEST MISTAKE

Keifer's voice dropped.

"Their endgame is me."

Everyone turned to him.

"They'll frame instability. Question my capability. Push the narrative that I'm unfit to be CEO."

Jay scoffed quietly."They're predictable."

"They think once everyone else is weakened," Keifer continued, "no one will defend my seat."

Aries smiled—slow and dangerous."They forgot one thing."

Jay finished it for him.

"We don't expose enemies immediately."

Percy grinned."We let them embarrass themselves first."

Angelo cracked his knuckles."And then we burn the lies with evidence."

Keifer nodded once."ACES will handle Kaizer privately."

Jay's smile didn't reach her eyes."Specially him."

As the meeting wrapped up, arrangements were discussed.

"Jay will go separately," adam said."Different route. Different car."

Percy raised a hand lazily."I'll go with her. we need to discuss about mariano's project."

Keifer's head snapped up.

"No."

Everyone blinked.

Percy raised an eyebrow."Problem?"

Keifer crossed his arms."I'm going with her."

Jay sighed."Keifer—"

Keifer stood a few steps away, jaw tight.

Keifer didn't deny it."I don't like distance."

Jay walked up to him, lowering her voice."Call me. I'll send my location. Always."

He nodded, then pulled her into a quick, firm hug—forehead to forehead.

"Come back," he said.

In a glass office miles away, Kaizer laughed.

They think Jayjay is dead.

Cyrus smirked."S&J Corp without her is nothing. Their whole brand—women's self-defense, elite training, protection units—it collapses."

Her stepfather leaned forward."We defame ACES first. Adam. Michael. Samuel."

"They're shareholders in each other's firms," Cyrus added."2–3%. Enough to stain all of them."

Kaizer's eyes gleamed."And Keifer?"

"Grieving," her stepfather said confidently."A broken man can't protect anyone. Not Sec E. Not Watson."

They laughed.

Unaware.

That the Alpha they buried was already walking back into the world.
