Chapter 2 - Fate

Coincidentally the child had fallen on the border, where all five lands joined together. But... What is it? Is it human? Is it safe?

People began to arrive soon after, curious at what happened, and as the being emerged everyone was frozen in shock. "What is it?" "Why does it look like a human child?" "Did the child fall from the heavens?" "Is it holy?"

Among the first groups to arrive was the Church. Immediately they decided whether the being was sent from the gods, or from hell.

Church leader: "We have decided this... Child is a unique being, sent to us from above! The messenger of the gods! A fallen one. However the public may also call him a fallen star or a shooting star, since many pass by us every night. This one shall belong to the church!"

The "Fallen One" gets up, white hair, silver eyes, their appearance dictates they are only around 6 years old. It seems it can understand their tongue. "Belong? Why do I have to belong to someone? Can't I have my own will? My own day in my future?"

Everyone watched in shock, for many reasons, the Fallen One spoke their language almost too well, they actually addressed them directly, and they... Defied the holy church.

The Church leader stood there, stunned- angry at the audacity it had to defy him- to defy the church. "How dare you! How dare you defy the Holy Church?! That is no better than defying the gods themselves! But I suppose since you were sent to us from them I'll let it slide... Just this once."

Soon the rulers arrived in their chariots. They hold a meeting in a set up tent. They discuss what they should do about the- child...

Gord Leader: "Is it truly a child sent from the gods? Do we have to hand it over to the church?"

Lanta's Leader scoffs: "It should belong to us, we need to know more about it! It could be the last of its kind! What if it could revolutionize everything?!"

They had no clue what to do. But for the first time since the dawn of time, the leaders didn't want to share, they didn't care about peace. They only cared about satisfying their curiosity.
