Chapter 14 - First Night

Elira couldn't bring herself to wear the skimpy lingerie. However, she did pick something a little more modest.

A two-piece outfit with a purple silk gown with silk shorts that paired with it. She put it on, feeling cold with the amount of skin that was exposed on her legs, despite the gown covering most of them.

She waddled over to Aric's office, knocking twice on the door.

"Serenya? Is that you?" Aric's voice came out through the door, slightly muffled.

Elira's heart ached momentarily when she heard him call Serenya's name, but if she wanted to follow through with Kaelith's plan, she had to open the door. It wasn't her that would be the first to open it though.

The doorknob jiggled as the door opened wide with Aric standing in front, looking down at the shy but beautiful Elira.

"Sir Aric? I um... I was wondering if you may need some- Woah!" Aric pulled Elira into his office, shutting the door behind them.

"What are you doing here, wearing that!?"

"It's... It's our wedding night?" She tried to use the techniques Mara taught her during her 3-hour lessons by sliding her fingers down his arm, but she was only met by him smacking her fingers away.

"Get out."

"What?"

"I said get out. You demon."

"D-Demon...? I-I don't understand. It is our duty to consummate the marria-"

"I SAID GET OUT! I DON'T WANT YOU. NO ONE HEAR WANTS YOU. YOU'RE A MURDERER. YOU'RE A SPY. YOU DON'T BELONG HERE." Aric erupted, walking closer to her as she walked back, bumping against the door.

"I..." Elira muttered, before giving up and leaving the office, rushing to her room.

[I'm sorry Sir Kaelith... I don't think I can do this anymore... How could I try and seduce someone who doesn't have the faintest attraction to me...]

From afar, Kaelith stood, watching as he peered from around the corner. He turned and spoke to his attendant.

"Make sure you think of more ways to break her spirit. This was a good idea, taking advantage of that pathetic little love she has. I don't want her to harm Serenya in any way. I doubt those rumors of all those wicked deeds she did at House Veylen are false."

In the dead of the night, Serenya lay on her bed, her eyes were red from crying. Everyone in this household hated her. Everyone in the world hated her, and she was slowly beginning to understand that.

The night of January 28th, the night of Elira's Wedding, was coming to an end.
