Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Meeting Qian Renxue

Chapter 114: Meeting Qian Renxue

At Shrek Academy, Flender looked helplessly at Yu Xiaogang, who was lying on the bed with a gloomy expression.

He had already learned from Tang San about what had happened. Flender hadn't expected these little monsters to be so disrespectful to Yu Xiaogang.

"Xiaogang, I'm sorry. It was my oversight."

"Hmph, these rotten wood pieces, even if they have good talent, so what? They are so difficult to teach, their potential is already doomed to be low."

"Uh..."

Flender knew that his old partner was in a bad mood, and he didn't know how to comfort him. He certainly couldn't say that making soul masters run around in circles for training was a bit childish.

"Sigh, rest well first. Once you recover, we can make plans. We can start with one-on-one soul duels. With your talents, it will be easy for you to help them analyze their soul skills. Once the kids are convinced, you'll be able to teach them more effectively."

Yu Xiaogang's expression softened a bit at these words. He didn't necessarily want to teach the students, but their talents were genuinely good. As Tang San's teammates, they were an excellent choice for participating in the Continental Elite Soul Master Tournament.

"I understand. After a few days, I'll arrange for them to have one-on-one soul duels."

"Great. Rest well."

After saying that, Flender left the wooden house and didn't disturb Yu Xiaogang's rest.

Yu Xiaogang's gaze wavered as he looked at the closed door, his fingers turning white as he clenched his fists.

"Once you help Tang San win the Soul Master Tournament, I won't bother teaching you disrespectful brats. Bibi Dong, I'll show you my capabilities."

Ning Bei, leaving the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, rented a luxurious Fanalil carriage for his journey to the Extreme North.

Along the way, he would pass through the Ling Dou Plains and the Jin Lan Plains before reaching the Northern Yuan Province. As an important city in the Northern Yuan Province, Tianshui City became a transit point for Ning Bei.

He planned to rest in Tianshui City before heading to Xueyue City, which was closer to the Extreme North.

His stop wasn't just for a rest; it was also not just to witness the famous Tianshui Academy.

Looking at the vast and green Ling Dou Plains, Ning Bei finally understood why the Star Luo Empire always thought about attacking the Heaven Dou Empire. With such fertile land everywhere, who wouldn't want it?

As he passed by several towns, Ning Bei didn't stop, continuing his journey for three days before finally reaching the gates of Tianshui City.

"Ugh, Tianmeng, your hometown is ridiculously far."

"Of course, it's in the Extreme North. Do you understand what 'Extreme North' means?"

Ning Bei nodded, feeling the temperature drop as they got closer to the Extreme North. However, for someone with Soul Douluo strength like him, the chill was nothing to worry about.

"We'll rest here for a day and then continue towards Xueyue City. It's not far from the Extreme North."

"Do as you wish. I've been through millions of years, so I'm not in a rush."

"By the way, is that big scorpion really that attractive to you?"

"Cough, cough, what big scorpion? Bing'er is the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion, translucent and crystal clear. It's for admiring from afar, not..."

"Alright, alright, I get it."

Seeing Tianmeng's goofy expression in his mind, Ning Bei immediately interrupted his thoughts.

"Tsk, you don't understand how to appreciate it."

"I admire your steel hammer. Is it that my Yan isn't fragrant, or my little angel isn't beautiful? Why would I look at a big-tailed scorpion?"

Ignoring Tianmeng's muttering, Ning Bei instructed the coachman to drive the carriage towards the city.

Before long, they arrived near an inn. Ning Bei decided to treat himself to a meal since he had been eating only dry rations and snacks along the way.

He got off the carriage alone, ready to enter the inn, when he collided with a group of people.

Looking up at the golden-haired figure in front of him, Ning Bei was stunned.

"What are you doing here?"

"Bad, Ning Bei?"

In the private room on the second floor of the inn, Ning Bei stared at the figure before him dressed as Xue Qinghe—Qian Renxue—who sneered.

"Speak. How did you end up here?"

"Hmph, I should be the one asking you. I was sent by Emperor Xueye to Xueyue City to visit the border generals."

"As for you, aren't you supposed to be hugging your little poison girl at home? Why'd you come all the way to Tianshui City? Are you planning to see the beauties of Tianshui Academy?"

Ning Bei sniffed the air, looking around.

Qian Renxue, confused, stared at him.

"Hey, you smelly guy, what are you sniffing?"

"I'm trying to find out who spilled their vinegar jar. It's so sour!"

He quickly turned his head to dodge the flying teacup.

With a "thud," the teacup grazed Ning Bei's temple and smashed against the wall.

"Look at you. You can't even joke anymore without getting violent."

"Hmph, if you keep talking, it won't just be about violence. I'll let you taste my Angelic Holy Sword."

Qian Renxue's face flushed slightly, her eyes narrowed with mock fury.

"Alright, alright. I won't say anything anymore. Let's eat. I'm starving."

Watching Ning Bei eat heartily without responding to her, Qian Renxue pouted.

"Hey, you still haven't told me what you're doing in Tianshui City?"

"Looking at beauties. Didn't you already say that?"

"You—"

"Alright, no more jokes. I didn't come here specifically for Tianshui City. After resting for a day, I need to head to Xueyue City."

Qian Renxue looked at Ning Bei with some doubt upon hearing his destination.

"Xueyue City? That's a dangerous place. Why are you going there?"

"Why do you care so much? Do you think I'm your grandfather's son-in-law?"

The sound of broken tableware echoed in the private room. Soon, the door opened, and Ning Bei rushed out of the inn, telling the waiter to charge the meal to the little angel.

The prince's attendants were left confused as they watched Xue Qinghe walk out of the private room, unsure of what had just happened.

Realizing she had acted out of character, Qian Renxue quickly cleared her throat.

"Ahem, well, I guess we're almost done resting. Let's head out."

"Yes."

Watching her attendants leave, Qian Renxue inwardly cursed Ning Bei for being so irritating. "When I can beat him, I'll make him pay."
