Chapter 373 - Chapter 373: Starting to Act

Chapter 373: Starting to Act

"Young man Ning, what is this?"

Carefully stepping a few paces closer to Ning Bei, Jiang Mo looked at the other soul beasts with confusion and asked about their identities.

Ning Bei smiled lightly and began introducing his companions to the two elders.

"The burly white-haired man is Ah Bao, a 300,000-year-old Dark Golden Terrorclaw Bear."

"The man in the snake robe is Da Ming, a 300,000-year-old Sky Blue Bull Python."

"And the bald, burly man..."

The more Ning Bei introduced, the more shocked Qian Jun and Jiang Mo became. However, from the aura around the soul beasts, they could tell that Ning Bei wasn't lying.

At this moment, the two elders, who had held high status for so long, instantly became more approachable and clasped their hands in greeting to the group of fierce beasts.

"Hello, brothers and sisters. I am Jiang Mo, and this is my elder brother, Qian Jun. We are worshippers of the Spirit Hall."

Their enthusiastic greetings didn't get the expected response. The two beasts shot a glance at them before quickly turning their eyes away, then looked curiously at Ning Bei.

"Ning Bei, brother, did these two cause trouble for you?"

At the sound of Da Ming's voice, all the fierce beasts immediately surrounded Qian Jun and Jiang Mo, their faces dark, clearly ready to start a group beating if things didn't go well.

This made Qian Jun and Jiang Mo feel like enemies were closing in on them. They quickly looked to Ning Bei for help.

Seeing their reaction, Ning Bei couldn't help but chuckle. He stepped forward to block Da Ming, who was about to move closer.

"These are my wife's grandfathers, so don't act recklessly."

"Oh?"

Upon hearing Ning Bei's explanation, the fierce beasts immediately withdrew their overwhelming presence. This allowed Jiang Mo and Qian Jun to finally relax, wiping the cold sweat from their foreheads. Jiang Mo gave Ning Bei a stern glare, as if blaming him for making two old men look bad.

Ning Bei shrugged, signaling that they looked like villains, so it wasn't his fault. He turned to the fierce beasts.

"I called everyone here because there's something I need help with. There's a sect in the northern mountains called Haotian Sect, and our goal is to wipe them out."

"Big brother, how do they compare to the Force One Clan?"

Ah Bao cracked his knuckles. As a warrior, the mention of a fight immediately got him excited.

"The Force One Clan you mentioned was just their former affiliated sect, or what's left of it. Let me put it this way—there are at least several Title Douluo in their sect."

"Oh? In that case, I'll have to join in."

With Ning Bei's introduction, not just Ah Bao, but even Da Ming grew excited, their iron fists cracking as they prepared for action.

"Alright, just make sure you don't hurt any of our own. You can choose the enemies you're interested in and stay away from the main battlefield."

Ah Bao and Da Ming nodded enthusiastically, then immediately rushed toward the direction Ning Bei pointed, as if fearing they'd miss the opportunity to strike.

Ning Bei glanced at Da Ming, then smiled at him.

"You two go ahead, but there's no need to enter the sect. Just stay on the outskirts and make sure no one escapes."

"I understand."

Da Ming nodded, then, along with Yaoyao and A Zhu, quickly followed after the two fools.

Qian Jun and Jiang Mo watched the entire scene unfold without saying a word. They couldn't help but feel sympathy for Haotian Sect. To them, Ning Bei's approach was like using a sledgehammer to swat a flea. Haotian Sect had no chance of escaping this calamity.

"Whoever faces you, kid, must have really bad luck."

Qian Jun's words made Jiang Mo nod in agreement and say seriously:

"Indeed, just imagine, eating hot pot and singing at home, when suddenly a 300,000-year-old Dark Golden Terrorclaw Bear falls from the sky—just thinking about it makes me sweat."

"Uh, I'll just assume you two are complimenting me."

Ning Bei gave them a helpless glance. Wasn't all of this to ensure that Little Angel could return to the Spirit Hall and take the divine exam? Why did he become the bad guy here?

Yue Guan, who had dedicated his life to Spirit Hall, was in an excited mood, occasionally chatting with Gui Mei.

"After taking down Haotian Sect, will Spirit Hall finally dominate the entire continent?"

"Mm."

Gui Mei was still reluctant to speak, but clearly, he agreed with his old friend. After all, if anyone could stop Spirit Hall from unifying the continent now, it would be Haotian Sect. But judging by the lineup today, Haotian Sect was bound to become a part of history.

The five Title Douluo set off at full speed and reached the mountains near Haotian Sect in just one day.

"Hmph, such a grand sect, and now it's hiding in this desolate place?"

"It's just good to have a place to stay. We should have destroyed them in one go back then; it would have saved us a lot of effort."

As they spoke, the Title Douluo expressed their disdain for Haotian Sect. They couldn't imagine how so many high-end combat forces could fail to conquer a sect that had lost its sharp claws.

They stopped their march and turned to Yue Guan. He didn't waste time and immediately took out the defensive map sent secretly by Xue Hu, unfolding it for everyone to see.

Seeing the markings on the map, the Title Douluo raised their eyebrows.

"They are quite cautious. They've placed nearly ten groups of patrols along the outer mountains, but one group is ours."

"Yeah, looks like they already anticipated we'd make a move."

Just as the group was about to divide the tasks for eliminating the patrols, Gui Mei, who had the sharpest senses, suddenly frowned and looked into the forest near the mountain. He revealed a strange smile.

"They're really cautious; they've even sent scouts here."

Clearly, Gui Mei had detected the spies Haotian Sect had placed on the outer perimeter. The fact that they were stationed several dozen kilometers from Haotian Sect's main mountain range showed how careful they were.

"What's going on, old ghost?"

"Nothing, you all continue dividing the tasks. I'll be back soon."

With a flash of ghostly shadow, Gui Mei's figure slowly disappeared, making the other four realize they had been detected by Haotian Sect's scouts.

"Hmph, just a waste of effort."

They didn't care about this minor incident. Having worked together for so long, they knew Gui Mei's abilities. There was no way the scouts would escape or manage to report back.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, after they had assigned their tasks, Gui Mei returned, dragging a Haotian Sect disciple dressed in their uniform.

"One Soul Emperor, their martial soul isn't the Haotian Hammer, so they're probably not a core disciple."

"Doesn't matter, as long as the message doesn't get back. Old ghost, you're faster, so you'll handle the two patrols on the northernmost side."

"Understood."

Still brief with his words, Gui Mei accepted the task immediately.

"Then before the main force arrives, take care of all the Haotian Sect disciples who are on patrol."

The five exchanged nods and dispersed, entering the nearby forest.

A massacre targeting Haotian Sect was about to begin.

Xue Hu and the others inside Haotian Sect hadn't slept for several nights. Based on the timing of the defensive map's transmission, the attack should be imminent, and they had to be prepared to respond at any moment.
