Chapter 14 - My Wife

"Get your hands off her."

I turned to Mo Yichen, who stood right beside me, his eyes glaring daggers at the hand gripping my wrist. My back felt a chilling cold.

Xiao Bo barked, irritated. "And who are you?" I flinched as his hand tightened.

The next thing I knew, Mo Yichen grabbed Xiao Bo's wrist with a sickening crunch. Xiao Bo immediately groaned and writhed backward, releasing my arm. I massaged my wrist, wincing.

Yichen had a murderous look. He didn't release the wrist but jerked Xiao Bo to his feet, lifting him halfway off the ground.

"Little Yi, who is this man?" My mother weakly asked, clutching my arm, her face pale with fear.

I frowned, shaking myself off her grip. "That's my husband, Mo Yichen."

She gasped, her face dark with shock. She tried for a nervous, crooked smile. "If it isn't my beloved son-in-law. I should have invited you over sooner for dinner." She grinned, glancing greedily at the Mercedes-Benz behind us.

Mo Yichen let go of Xiao Bo, and answered my mother coldly. "Xiao Yi and I just returned from the Mo mansion to see the family. Unless my wife, wants to return to the Zhen family for a meal, I don't see a reason why I should go there."

As a matter of fact, he was right. But why did he have to make it my choice?

My mother mechanically turned her head, her eyes wide, and her lips drawn into a curvy fake ass smile that didn't reach her eyes. Scary much.

"What are you saying hubby, we can go now, I really do miss my father." I lied. My mother laugh as she glanced back at Yichen.

"My daughter and her father always had a stunning relationship, I am sure he misses her a lot too, we could even go now." She tried to walk past Yichen to the car, a greedy gleem in her eyes as they watched the car.

Of course, that was definitely what she was here for.

Mo Yichen stepped forward and blocked her view, then his gaze settled on Xiao Bo who had not spoken since, the latter tensed and raised his head to meet Yichen's angry gaze.

"I will also be pressing charges on this one right here for crossing his boundaries on my woman." He threatened. Xiao Bo widened his eyes in shock.

He must have regretted everything, now he was sure to be cooked.

I was about to turn and walk into the house, my head hurt and my wrist needed some ice on it when Xiao Bo quickly blocked my view.

I frowned.

"What are you doing?" I asked, my voice low and cold.

He snickered. "Xiao Yi, you are not seriously going to let that man you call your husband lock me behind bar right?"

I tilted my head to the side, and narrowed my eyes.

"Did you eat something bad, bobo?" I asked, he raged, but this time he couldn't touch me since Yichen was standing right behind him.

"You would pay for this!" He threatened and I scoffed.

"Me? How are you going to make me pay for it? in jail?" A mocking giggle bubbled out of my throat. I loved to mock him like this. Because what was he thinking?

That I was still the same naive little bitch that thought he was worth my time?

He gritted his teeth face, his face red from rage as he fumed. But not a single world came out as he glanced between me and Yichen who snaked his arm around my waist.

At first I froze, but I leaned back into his embrace, looking down at Xiao Bo.

"You would definitely regret this." He grumbled, as he sidestepped us and fled in his mediocre car. A car that I got for him with my own money.

"I need to destroy that car." I said in a hush tone. Thinking that no one could have possibly heard me, but Yichen leaned in with the most innocent look.

"Do you want me to destroy it for you?" He asked his voice mellow beside my ears. I flinched and backed away as fast I could my face flushed red as I glared at him.

This man was doing it again, getting into my private space and doing everything that he shouldn't be doing.

I cleared my throat and glanced at my mother who was cursing out as she stared at Xiao Bo's disappearing car, she thought Xiao Bo was a good man, instead of going with my mother, he was in a hurry that he forgot.

"I will tell the driver to drop you off at home." I told her, she harrumphed and stepped into the car without even a thank you from her lips.

I lazily stared at her and sighed. She was always the same. I bet she was waiting for me to say that.

I started back into the house, and Yichen obediently followed behind me. That didn't matter though, for some reason I was so stressed, I had to slouch before reaching the bedroom. My head ached and the only thing I wanted to do is sleep.

Yichen continued to follow silently, and once I reached the bedroom, I didn't even bother to undress, I just kicked off my heels and slumped on the bed, dragging the covers against my body.

"So are you just going to abandon your husband?" Yichen suddenly asked and my eyes snapped open.

I grumbled. "Mama Chen definitely made something to eat, so go help yourself." I pressed the pillows against my ears, silence ensued and I blinked awake, questioning why it was suddenly quiet.

"You have to shower, Mo Yi." I groaned. Who am I kidding. He wouldn't just let me be.

"I just want to sleep, Yichen. Please let me sleep." I whined, my head profusely banging. But the space beside me dipped and I turned around to find Yichen pulling the covers off my body.

"You will sleep once you are done with your shower. Or do you want me to wash you?" He asked, as his fingers snaked up my thighs and I flinched.

With limited time, I raced out of bed and into the bathroom, slamming the door behind me. My heart drumming, and my cheeks reddened to a fault.

At this point, I feel like Yichen was just having fun teasing me.

Just then my phone buzzed, a message came in. "Boss, we would be needing you at the office tomorrow."
