I woke up to the feeling of being carried.
My mind immediately snapped to Yichen; he was carrying me again.
My eyes fluttered open, squinting against the sunlight filtering through the canopy. I was cradled high against Yichen's chest, my arms instinctively looped around his neck, my head resting on his shoulder.
"Yichen?" I mumbled, my voice thick with sleep. I blinked, looking around. We were walking along the path back to the villa. The campsite was nowhere in sight. "Wait... why are you carrying me? How long have I been asleep?"
He glanced down, a small, satisfied smile playing on his lips. He didn't look even remotely winded, despite the humidity and my weight. "Long enough for me to enjoy the peace and quiet."
I gasped, struggling slightly in his grip. "Put me down! I have legs, Yichen! I can walk!"
