Chapter 3 - The Price Of Vengeance

"How is this possible? I know I signed a pact, and the condition was to help me with revenge," Celestira muttered as she paced around the room. She stopped and touched her face. "But… time travel? I've never heard of such a thing."

She sighed and walked back to her bed. Lying down, she thought, It's no use dwelling on this for now. All I can do is use this opportunity to plan my revenge.

After staring into space for a while, she whispered, "But what should I do? If Alicia was right about making me drink a poison that made my awakening not possible, then she'll probably invite me for tea…"

Celestira's eyes flicked to the calendar. Her voice turned grim. "In a week."

But what poison did she use? There are multiple ingredients that can prevent awakening, but if I'm correct, then imperial blood would be the most likely suspect. If she is close to Fedrick, getting the blood would be a piece of cake. And if a royal drinks another royal's blood…

Her grip on the bedsheet tightened. I feel so helpless. If I make even one mistake, I could lose my chance to gain my powers—but… do I even have any powers?

"Yes, you do," a cute voice piped up from beside her.

Celestira answered unconsciously, "Really, I d—wait a second!" She sat up sharply. "Who are you? And what are you doing in my room?"

Now that Celestira looked closely, the thing was very small—almost the size of her hand.

She snatched up a nearby cup for self-defense. "Who are you, and what are you doing in my room?"

"I am a servant of the great Water Elf King, Elfanso."

Elfanso then flew up with his little wings and bowed. "It's a great honour to be in your service, my great master's contractor."

Celestira looked dumbfounded. "Elf King? Who is the Water Elf King?"
