Chapter 13 - The Trauma Buried Underneath

What is this blood doing here?

Celestira's hand trembled as she saw the blood. Scenes of coughing up blood in the greenhouse flashed violently before her eyes, each memory sharper than the last.

Her legs buckled. She staggered back a few steps, heart hammering as panic clawed at her chest.

No… this isn't your blood Celestira. Get a grip.

Suddenly, a memory flashed in her mind:

Calm down, Ara, a blurry figure said.

Celestira muttered under her breath, "Calm… down?".

Her panicked breathing echoed through the silence before gradually evened out, and then she sank onto the couch.

I need to figure out what's going on...

She then shakily picked up the bell and rang it.

Rose entered. "How may I serve you, Your Ladyship?"

Rubbing her throbbing forehead, Celestira asked, "I want to know… why is it so quiet in the manor?"

Rose explained, "After the fire, the West Wing was completely destroyed. Most of the workers from the East Wing went there to help with the repairs."

---

The Duke's manor is divided into three parts:

The West Wing, where Alicia lives

The Middle Wing, where the Duke and Duchess live

The East Wing, where Celestira lives

---

Celestira asked seriously, "How many servants are there in the East Wing, and how many attend to my personal needs?"

After a brief pause, Rose answered, "There's Laural, myself, and Lina." She continued, "Miss Laural has most of the servants, as she is responsible for cleaning. I handle your meals and health—calling the physician if necessary—and Lina assists with dressing."

Hmmm…

Celestira said seriously, "Rose, I have some work for you to do."

"I'll assist you with all I have, Your Ladyship," Rose said with determination.

Celestira ordered authoritatively, "Summon all the servants to the reception, at once."

Rose was confused but still said, "Yes, Your Ladyship."

Who could have dared enter my room last night… and why?

With a smirk, Celestira wore a beautiful lavender dress and set out to the reception room.

Let's figure out this interesting guest who dared to enter my chambers, without my permission.

To be continued…
