Chapter 2 - God Of Greed.

‎As though they hadn't had enough, the grounds they stood on began to rumble... Like an earthquake, everything trembled out of place.

"W-WHAT'S GOING ON?"

It started with all but confusion and commotion, and in the blink of an eye, a solid whirlpool. Their eyes widened with terror even in the darkeness that had taken their vision.

Still, the unmistakable realization before they dunked deep into the soil erupted their hidden screams.

"RETREAT! RETREAT!

One of the soldiers, Belliot screamed at the top of his voice, rising the panic from the gut of the others who screamed in fear. This was a bad idea right from the start, they all knew. The signs were so clear, still, they walked blindly into the devil's trap because of their greedy king.

‎"Y-YOUR SUPREME! LET US RETREAT AT ONCE!" One amongst his armies, Guliet screamed in fear. It was at that moment he saw his life flash before his eyes.

But before they could even put their words into action, their bodies were pulled into irreversible summersaults, clashing roughly on hard surfaces they couldn't even see. It felt as though they were being thrown into a concrete mixer, and pummeled together.

Their world spun.

‎Nothing stood still...

‎It felt as though a tornado had taken place, but even far worse because no body could see what was going on. They could tell that they were no longer on their feet and could tell they were rolling in air and being carried away by some strange force, but they couldn't see what they were in the hands of.

‎The third sign...

Little did they know that it was an endless fall...

‎For several days, they were in the hands of torment and merciless pounding, screaming in pain, wailing in anxiety, and begging relentlessly. They pleaded for what seemed like an eternity, praying to the gods they served, all the while stuck in an endless loop of circulation, and in darkness.

Some threw up, feeding their vomits to the others who wailed with wide mouths beneath them, some drenched the others with their urine, and ate the salivas of the ones who opened their mouths wide in tears without realizing it they had dropped particles of their DNAs.

It was a torment even the most greedy of them all couldn't escape. The all powerful ruler of one of the biggest lands of the east.

His cries being "I only ached for more wealth, please... I only wanted the fattest gem"

"It was never enough, no... No! it was not enough".

It seemed as though he was going mad from the relentless rotation.

"I JUST NEEDED MOREE!!" The emperor yelled in frustration, wailing as though he did nothing wrong... As though it was his right to want more, his screams surpassing those who were in the same predicament as him, those who had passed out in the process, and those who were weak and we're about to give up.

"GIVE ME MORRREE!". He screamed atop his voice, as it echoed throughout the dark cave, silencing everyone of them with his relentlessness.

Just how greedy can one be?

Just how power starved can drive one to cast his life as nothing but worthless in the hands of death all for some unseen treasure?

Why would one trade even the lives of those who eagerly and desperately awaited to be in the arms of their loved ones just to quench his greedy thirst?

How much wealth could one with such greed seek?

Just how much was enough?

These questions needed answers.

Answers which were urgently needed... Answers which would determine his fate...

His behaviors roused the curiosity of that one being...

The being who controlled the world he evaded with his armies without permission all because of his greed to possess everything.

This terrifying greed he possessed intrigued not just the mortals, but the immortal god of greed himself...

The god took interest in the mortal, freeing him from the trap he had fallen into, and raising him to his place of dwell.

Emperor Ceriuss that had been in spiral, in a falling loop for seven consecutive days casually dropped to the ground right before the throne of the mystical being.

Instantly, he felt the contraction in his gut, the push from his core to his throat... All the liquid that had been on motion for days pushed ther way out as he crouched to the floor unaware of his environment or anything around him.

He hadn't even broken free from shock when a deep, loud voice echoed throughout the chamber, calling him out of the trance he had drowned into as he jolted in disbelief.

Slowly, he lifted his face upwards with wide eyes, forgetting to breathe in the process.

The Almighty Emperor of Aldon stood like nothing but an ant before the gigantic art of a god.

"Ceriuss, son of Kayek, princess of munac and Ceriuss II, past king of Aldon... In flesh... and blood".

A voice deep and calm, yet oddly relaxed and sophisticated, echoing with audacity.

His eyes glazed lazily around the emperor who stood before him in mockery.

"Mm... Very foolish, and yet... Your greed has set you free".

His voice echoed throughout his chambers as the emperor's eyes widened to the majestic figure seated gracefully in front of him.

"Wh-who are you?"

"Sit down, mortal".

On his words, out of nowhere, in the blink of an eye, a gush of wind erupted like a force, and out of no where, a seat made of gold sculpted from the soil emerged behind him.

The emperor was pushed backwards, and put down in order.
