A sharp knock broke the tense silence.
Marshal Eros Yin did not look up. "Enter."
The door slid open. Kevin, his right-hand aide, stepped inside with a rigid expression.
"You need to see this," he said.
Eros finally lifted his gaze. "If it's another council complaint, send it to Command. I'm dealing with..."
Kevin shook his head. "It's the Qin family."
That finally made Eros straighten.
