When they got back to the hut, they headed straight to the coop set up in the far corner of the garden. Serena quickly placed some straw, ash and sand into the coop before grabbing one of the wooden bowls to fill with water.
"Kiro, go fill this up with water." Serena instructed the eager cub.
The cub nodded its head, taking the small water bowl before he ran to the entrance of the hut where a large bucket of water sat for daily use. As he was filling up the bowl, Serena and Theo set to work releasing the birds.
They were of a flightless kind, so Theo didn't bother clipping their wings before placing them into the coop. The birds squawked at them as they were dropped into the coop, quickly moving to get away from the two.
Once all three were safely inside the coop, Kiro came back and Serena took the water bowl from him. She then placed it inside the coop before taking the other bowl to fill with vegetable scraps.
