Once everyone was asleep as usual, Serena quickly entered her subspace, almost giddy to try out her new notebook and pen. She'd been longing for this for some time now and was ready to get things rolling.
The pen was an original ballpoint pen that one could easily find in any stationary shop. It wasn't anything fancy. As for the notebook, it was leather bound like her other books and had about three hundred blank pages.
Enough to last her for some time.
She quickly set to work using the first ten pages to make notes about the book's original plot line and notes on the world. She knew she had the original owner's memories to help her out and that whatever she was doing was going to have a butterfly effect on the world changing the future.
But it was always better to be safe than sorry and she wanted these on hand in case she forgot something and needed them in the future. Out of habit, she wrote them cryptic.
